Really? My dd informed me that all papers need to be returned and didn't mention parents can keep them. That's good news, i don't have to make copies for the Eng papers then. Thanks for yr info.

Yes, I checked with my boy's form teacher, and she confirmed it. You need to return the papers to the teachers first, though. They will return the papers to us eventually.

I forgot to mention this. According to my son's form teacher - No Moderation to the papers.

My son also said that he received his marks for Health Education and Social Studies. Anybody else can confirm?
If no moderation, for those who failed, what will happen?

I guess that's where the English Composition and Oral come in. They are not going to disclose the individual marks to us, so I suppose it's up to the teachers' discretion how strict or lenient they want to be in these two.

In addition, the unit reviews will push up the marks.

Well, not to forget that unit reviews only carry 30%...remember i mentioned before only 3 in my dd's class scored more than 40 for SA2 paper? The highest in her class scored 44/50....sigh

i do hope that the teachers will be lenient in their marking of composition and oral ๐Ÿ™

If a student had consistently scored full marks for the unit reviews, it's 30 marks. Yes, not a lot. The teachers will take five out of the six unit reviews.

My DS class the English highest is 45. Not sure how many of them scored above 40. Guessed those who did not well perhaps the school would arrange some form of remedial class in the school holiday?

Is it firm that there will be remedial lessons during the school holidays?

I guessed the school would do something about it where identify the strong, average & weak students. Example if a child failed in all the subjects, would the school let them move up to P2?
