      hi tim tim,

actually no need to worry too much. i recall fretting my head off last year on whether my kid knows how to tie the laces since he has always been wearing velcro sandals/shoes. so we got him to practise tying after we got the shoes. turned out much better than expected - he mastered in after a few tries. so i suppose we ought to have the confidence in our kids that they can do it πŸ™‚

          Wow! This is BAD!!
Still dare to ask us to feedback abt vendors. πŸ˜›
How come didn't ask us to feedback abt the teachers? πŸ˜‰

BTW, it's the ALUMNI OFFICE that's the prob for this case. Not the vendors because we were not kept in the loop till very last minute too!

E.g. Originally, they told us 23/11/10 is near exams, so no lessons.
Then, on 15/11/10, they suddenly come and tell us (while I was having lesson with the students) that there is lesson on 23/11/10, no lesson on 30/11/10. With such last minute notice, I informed all the students and expected them to pass the message to the parents since Alumni office did not give us any letters to give out on the spot.

Then, on 23/11/10, many of my students did not turn up. Why? The parents did not trust what the kids said, expected letters from Alumni. If it was told to me earlier, I would have prepared a note for parents! Then on 23/11/10, Alumni distributed a note to inform parents that there's no lesson on 30/11/10. A little too late cos so many students were not present that day? And for the enrichment classes, there's no make up lesson or pro-rated fees. If you miss, you lose out!

Some mix-ups in ur dates above? Shld b Oct? I'm surprised that NCPS' exam is after PSLE marking days when most sch already finished exams. Always been like that? Then next yr can't go hols during PSLE marking days le. πŸ˜‰

Your students' parents can still feedback abt the lack of systems/coordination regarding the Alumni's program.
Didn't know u r teaching enrichment in NCPS too. KPO here, but what course?

Oh, think my neighbour's 2 kids r taking that! πŸ™‚
She has good comment abt the course but too bad DS1 had no interest when we chanced upon a Chinese demo at SKCC sometime ago. Actually I also \"caught no ball\" then.
              Is yours conducted in English?

                  Hi Chadax,
Yes, you can. I brought DS to the sch to buy the uniform & shoes already. DS is very big sized for his age so I hv to get it early and send the uniform for alteration.

Finally received the letter from Nan Chiau today. The letter will indicate which class your kid will be going next year.

Thanks Suaku_mum! Also received the letter today. Any idea what time does the shop open for the uniform and shoes?

Anyone attending the phonics/hanyu pinyin course? Still considering...

                        :scratchhead:
