Anyone has kid that are p5 in 2010?

Agreed.
M angry as she should not start fb in the month of exam, and played it to the max during the exam time.I din know until today.

what i told her was, all your effort gone down to the drain due to the distraction that she has.Kid being kid, when they do something, they dont really think.

All my friends, take away tv, laptop , two weeks before exam, and mine is starting a new hobby then...sigh...

Hope to find out from mummies here, do you allow your child to have facebook account and let them use it as a means of communication with her classmates?

Do you allow them to use Facebook especially during the last SA exam?

I was furious, because my girl actually open up a fb account herself and use it when she was supposed to be studying for exam.Her results ended up only improved by a mark.

I would prefer not as they may link to other subjects rather than discussion. If really no choice then have set the timing as children nowadays are not like our time.

Just like you, I also based on 09 papers to go through with ds, but not in detailed and that is why ds compre dropped a bit.

What is the highest score for chinese compo and oral awarded for your dd class?

Noticed ds doesnt like to read chinese.Is there a way to help them in reading?thanks.

So far, no. Only went through with her what should be the answers based on 2009 papers.

Hi Leanne

Yes, this book requires certain level of understanding in CL Language but is a good book with numerous of historical stories.

No sure what is the higher score in this two area but the teacher disclose the oral marks to individual yesterday and she got 40/50. Still have room to improve in this area.

I don't know the compo yet but this is always her weaker part may be due to rushing of time as such we think she better to do well in Oral, Paper 2 and listening to cover this setback.

Recently, she just bought a few CL comic book likes 德国寻宝记，日本寻宝记 etc. Another way is to watch CL show like 三国etc which only come with Chinese Sub-title. I observe dd had benefit a lot through this patch.

DS wrote out of point for his SA2 CL compo Not sure of marks yet as his school never reveal compo marks

My Gal Wrote :offtopic: for her SA2 HCL.
However, in her class, over half the class selected the same topic and \"ONLY ONE\" student did not wrote :offtopic:
So I guess many of her classmates did not do too well in this subject as well.

She has come back with her results : 7 Marks for Contents (being :offtopic:), and Total 23 Marks, thus there's still some marks to be salvaged from Jie-kow (My Gal managed to get 16 Marks .... Whew! Lucky .... She still Managed to get better than Pass Grade with this unfortunate Mistake ....)

But she console me : \"But Mummy, With More Difficult Papers Next Year, T-SCORE will be Better .... This Year NOT so Easy to Get High T-score-Lah!\"

She Told Me It is Traditional To Get Difficult Paper the Next Year if this years Papers are Too Easy, and Viz-Versa.
And she's already predicting Her Friend HQ (in P4 this year) will have it easy for her PSLE in 2011, and Unfortunate friends in P3 (CY & JY) will have a Difficult time in PSLE in 2012 .....

What V try to bring up here, the Kids R mentally prepared for it when they try 2010 PSLE Questions that the standard R Gonna b tougher and Higher for their PSLE, and cannot benchmark their papers by 2010 Std ....
Cannot b too Confident even if they can score well in 2010 papers as 2011 R expected to b of Higher std ....

My Gal has been pre-warned and she's keeping this in mind Already ....
Think it is Good for Her ....
