Just wanted to share this with everyone:

30 second Speech by Bryan Dyson - Former CEO of Coca Cola

Imagine Life as a game in which you are juggling some 5 balls in the air. They are Work, Health, Family, Friends and Spirit and you are keeping all of these in the air.

You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. But the other 4 balls, Haelth, Family, Friends and Spirit - are made of glass. If you drop one of these, they will irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged or shattered. They will never be the same. You must understand that and strive for it.

Work efficiently during office hours and leave on time. Give the required time to family, friends and have proper rest.

Value has a value only if its value is valued.

my dh frequently complains of being very busy. he can be so busy that he skips his toilet breaks (and hence he constipates...) and even have no time to drink water (and constipates somemore...). yet he seldom work after his office hours (the most he brings his work home, if it is really really really urgent). his rationale is that he is already very efficient; if he still needs to work overtime, then there is something wrong with the company's system.

When can we like Ang Moh country where work 35 hours per week?

In Asia, it is really stress to work!

When the tagline of 'cheaper, better, faster' is repeated all over the media, I think the concept of work balance has to take a back seat. 😢

The new tagline in Singapore is "work life harmony" after someone finally realized that it is impossible to achieve work life balance here now.

Even ministry of manpower has started using this "work life harmony"

Yup totally agree but he should still try to take short breaks for his own well being. 😉

You are most welcome! I think that we tend to forget what is truly important when we get caught up in our daily grind and busy lives.
