wow, thanks a lot for the confidence booster. i m now more confident in signing up for the bishan br.

the improvement in ur son’s grades were amazing - in just 1 yeear!
it shows the correct thinking skills n teaching skills are more important than how much problem sums were solved. quality vs quantity.

just curious, is ur p5 and elder child from some elite school? (u can pm me if u dont mind). did he have math tuition before p5?

i dont know if my girl’s sch math teacher got teach or not. but i always see her come back with corrections for math activity bk and i thot at first that she must hv known how to do already since teacher went thru. but when i asked her again, she said she doesnt understand what the teacher is saying. she jus copy blindly, or so busy copying the correctn （smtimes copy wrongly but she didnt realise) and never listen to explanation maybe.

i hv heard great feedback on mr lee. hope to hear some feedback on mrs ong and mrs sim too. my gal only p3, wont be taught by mr lee yet in perceptum.

I think it really depends on the child too. My ds1 was doing science & math, both under Mrs Sim. He got A* for both for PSLE.

My p5 boy, started this year with mrs sim for science. From 71 in science last year p4 to just barely pass this year. *sigh*.

Bishan is not convenient for us as we stay near Bt Panjang. I prefer near the sch or where we stay.

Hi,

Heard so much good raves about Perceptum school. Unfortunately, the BT branch for Pri 3 class is full already...

Anyway, I still go ahead and registered and hope they open another new class.

Maybe those interested in Pri 3 at BT branch, can try registering and hope our 'wish' is granted.

Went to their website to check the timetable. Almost all classes at BT are full.


Just wondering when did the registration for year 2011 starts? Must be early if want to get a place when DS goes to P3 in year 2012.

I registered for my son in Sept, I think? But that's for existing students.

Must warn that not all kids will do well or improve. Some end up improving tremendously, but others go downhill like my son. In the whole year he's been there, there has been no improvement. His grades just got worse and worse and this sA2 he barely passed. But I think it's more my son than the tutor, and I don't know who else to put him with already.

Does this centre do science experiments or just theory? How big is the class size? Is their maths really this good? My ds did not do well in this current SA2's maths.
