Can anyone advise me whether you have got a maid thr this POEA thing. the agent say that employer has to sign an employment contract stating S$600 plus off days to go thr this POEA (for Philippines side). But this type of contract is for 'show' in PHilippines to get them come over. After that, they will based on the agency employment contract done (for employer n FDW) which was the original salary for eg. $420 with 1 day as agreed.

Has anybody signed this type of contract? Is there a risk involved.

How does wearing the brace like? i was diagnosed with scoliosis long time ago but didnt do anything...Now getting old, my back is painful.

Any kind soul can advise should i go Chiropratic or scoliosis specialist? But scoliosis specialist how to appt with the specialist?

Then it shld be fine.. my girl was referred to HPB for xray and then to the scoliosis specialist.

My girl's spine is probably ok but her posture is a real problem. I have been reminding her till it frustrates both of us a alot but it just gets worse.. We have gone for a second adjustment and her shoulders balance after that, hope it is worth the time and $$. I will update any progress in this thread.

How is your girl coping with wearing the brace?

Thank you Gu for your feedback. They offer 50% for the 1st 4 lessons, so I will let my dd try out for a month before further decide. Saw the tutor profile, was an ex teacher of my dd school, so more or less I feel abit convincing...

Ha…Ridiculous email from an agency which i just received.

According to MOM, from today onwards, all nationality maids salary will be $450 with one off day, $480 with no off day…

As for ex Singapore, $500 with one off day, $550 with no off day…

Agency fees will be increased too!


Getting a maid now is…MAD!!
