Must See the Humour in Every ADVERSE Situation ....Funx3:
More Often than Not, My Gal's Class, which has the DUBIOUS Honours of being Assigned the HOD SC in P5, see Him Sailing Past the Class, Rather Than Teaching in Class ....
So the Class Got Another Free Period-lor ....
Too busy with HOD Duties, etc, Apparently.
So, What Does Almighty Mean by putting BEST teacher like HODs in P6?
Give the Children More Time to Revise on their Own? :?janet_lee88:
Ha.. Ha.., you two are so humorous, really make my day! really LOL.ALMIGHTY has this mentality that her HODS are top grade quality...well maybe some are, but obviously doesn't know her HOD for Science is NOT.
HODs may not necessarily conduct lessons given the amt of paper work to be done...so their assigned classes are given more free periods.
So it is LESS TEACHING MORE LEARNING ??? :?
MAKES PH a BETTER PLACE to Stay .... :celebrate:
(at least in our TWISTED Perception !!!!)
\"A LAUGH A DAY, KEEPS the ANGER AWAY\" .....
  -
My personal feel is that ALMIGHTY is not open to parents’ suggestions…this dialogue session today is to inform us, not to ask us. So let her decide and tell us what classes our children will be in next year. I don’t wish to waste my time sitting in and listen to her already-made up decisions.

I bet the very ambitious ones will all fight to be a P6 teacher to prove themselves.
Probably for the ambitious ones, they will strive to climb up the ladder, but for most teachers, they will not, even some of those in the HOD positions are not ambitious. There are many factors and tracks to teaching.

Hi Funx3,
After 4 years in PH, it’s advisable and wiser to have humour to stay sane…having an ALMIGHTY principal, her twisted mentality and ‘top grade’ HODs. -
IJJ:
Personally I think the change will not be very effective, with the ranking in class and level (especially) still there. Stds are very smart in knowing such things and where it means to them. Infact, children forming close friendship in P3 and being separated due to such streaming must feel more unhappy and wonder why like that. I think teachers should play an impt role rather than streaming here and there. If teachers are postive and encouraging, give opportunity to children to shine in whatever they are good at and help them in whatever they weak at (work toge. with parents), knows how to inspire and counsel them when they are down (esp. in weaker class), I think everything would work out. Maybe too big a shoe for PH's tachers ?
Nope, can't make it. Anyway, doubt anything is going to change P's decision.E3:
Who will be going for the dialogue session today?
It is not very formal, parents can ask questions at any point in time, at least, that was what happened last Fri evening.
Children work/study better if teachers are caring, show concern and be firm if they don't shouting, saying sarcastic remarks, throw tantrum, show \"no hope\"/indifference attitude towards stds etc. P should get some form of feedback from std anonymously (of course) about their teachers. Oh dear, teachers must be
, if this suggestion is taken up. Yap?

Through my child's experience, I know that are no lack of teachers who teach with a passion. I also hope that the competitiveness created by the top will not pass on and turn the school into a political battle ground and our children, tools to achieve their political agenda.IJJ:
