Hi LeanneFor my boy's school, gep takes different papers.so, their papers solely for mainstream.
Am also pretty shocked perfect score for both subjects.
Leanne
For dd school, higer score in Maths - 100, Science - 93. -
not so much on math, but science itself.
Also, perfect score for math and sci by the same person.
That definately bring up the total score.phankao:
Why shocked? It's so common to have 100 for math though. The science paper was a little more difficult, so no perfect score. Rgdg the \"non-gep\" statement, it's just what's written on the stats sheet, and I just qualified as it stated, lor.Leanne:

Leanne:
Get ready to be even more shocked next year during prelims! But I must say that my boy's p5 year - the pressure really piled right onto them the moment this school year started bc last year's cohort did not do as fantastically as the school's previous cohorts. So obviously the school's target went to the p5s of the following year!not so much on math, but science itself.

Heard from dd - EL paper 2 higher like 88/95, CL paper 2 - 85/90 -
Brenda10:
Ours is EL Max 86 for level. For CL 90, HCL 87. These were obviously not easy papers, but there were still boys who could handle them reasonably. The top for HCL seems to be from my boy's class.Leanne:

wow… reading this thread… i already start to feel stress.
I have been telling my son’s chinese tutor and my SILs to help me look out for signs of stress in my boy next year. And to give me the red alert, or perhaps help to "counsell" me about adding more stress on my son. Ha ha ! -
Emelyn:
MOE is fully aware of this issue as such in New Chinese CME Pupils' Book P6, there is a topic of 应变能力 teaching the child how to handle stress and challenging from PSLE. Some helping number were also provided.wow.... reading this thread.... i already start to feel stress.
