Just confirmed with DD's FT. Friday no school except for those receiving prizes. So last day of school for this year is this Thursday

How come the school never send us email or memo on this?
For the previous 2 years the P1 orientation was on Saturdays.

I keep hearing DD saying that this Friday is prize giving day and my niece also confirmed as she will be receiving a prize. DD kept saying no school and niece said not sure. Asked around and some say got school some say no school. So in the end, email the FT and she confirmed this Friday is Speech Day and only P6 and prize winners need attend, the rest need not go to school.

I was also wondering why no memo. Thought I missed the memo or DD misplaced it.

hi, anyone staying in tampines but travelling to RGPS by school bus?

how does yr child come home if she misses the sch bus?

My hubby really hope that she can go Raffles but afraid she may not know how to come back if she misses her sch bus due to project work or cca..

The CCA buses are only for the morning session kids. For P1-P2 in the afternoon sessions, there are no extra school buses for CCA or HMT. So u have to find alternate transport yourself from P1-P2.

        Hi Luanee,

Is it necessary for P1 to have CCA or is it too early? What CCA is avaliable for P1 gals?

My friends were telling me to let them join CCA so that they are ok when it comes to P3. But I have problem when comes to transport cause my gal will be taking school bus.

        Thanks.

          Luannee and all P2 parents,

Today, the report books would have the P3 class allocation for 2011.

My princess quite boh chap...when I asked her to find out who would still be her class mate next year, her response to me was \"no need, mummy...you'd know next year anyway! \" πŸ˜›

OH really? Looking forward to see that... My dd just briefly mentioned to me that earlier, didnt know we can know from the report book today!

Yes, it was indicated in the report book which P3 class my dd will be going to next year. I don't think there is any streaming in P3 as mentioned by the P earlier this year.

I did the P3 CCA selection online for my dd some time back. How do I know which CCA is selected for my dd?

For me, i let my dd make the decision herself. She saw some CCA performances during the p1 orientation and we asked her whether she would like to join. So she said she wanted to join the choir and we let her do so. For tranport, luckily my mil volunteered to fetch her go in a taxi on her CCA days.

              Thanks πŸ™‚

Knowing how fiercely competitive my girl's class is, don't think she will get a chance to go to school on Fri....:(
There is no academic ranking or whatever in the class or levels, so the prizes are mainly for model pupil or P6 girls i think.. u dont have to worry whether ur girl will get a chance to go or not πŸ˜‰

Yes i was wondering the same question, my dd told me her FT told her that all her CCA choices were not available anymore which surprised me really??!! Will u be going to meet the teacher conference this afternoon? I be going, maybe I will ask her that.

For the P3 allocation of classes, anyone knows what was it done? Only 3 girls in my dd's current class will be going to her new class next year.

                    thanks

Hi. From this year onwards, streaming into the top 2 classes will be at p4 (based on p3 results) and p5 (based on p4 results) levels. You can check out the letters to p3and p4 parents in the school's website. The top 2 classes are E and F. πŸ˜„

So allocation of P2 to P3 classes is just done randomly I guess ?
