HI,

Does anyone know if Rosyth will move for the upgrading? If yes, where and when will they move back?

        MTIA

The upgrading will be from Jan 2012 - Dec 2013. So presume the school will be moving back to its current premises in 2014. The temp location is at the ITE college in Ang Mo Kio Ave 5 (just on left when turn out of CTE to AMK Ave 5).

        Hope this helps.

During the temp location, the registation will based on those residng at AMK or serangoon?
This is also what I'm trying to find out. My son will need to take part in year 2012 P1 registration exercise. So now I'm also very lost. Anyone able to advise on this? The current school compound or the temporary compound will be used for evaluation of the 1km vicinity if I take part in the 2012 P1 registration exercise?

            Hi Agent66,

How did you know your gal's P1 class so early? Thought this will only be announced during orientation this Saturday?

              Markzh,
Check the letter sent to you for the orientation on coming Sat. There is a name tag for your kid and right on top of the name tag, the class name is printed (eg. Aspiring, Integrity, Adventurous, Meticulous, Respectful, etc.).

There is a timetable given in the letter as well. Parents should take this and talk to your kid about the time they will have to follow teacher to their respective classes, join their classmates for school tour, activities, tea break (food and drinks provided by school), etc. Prepare your kid so that they will not be caught unprepared and refused to leave with the teachers and stick by you.

              Hope this helps.

You will need to call the school and they will provide you the dates of registration. Need to fill up a form and even submit certificates 😉 . Rosyth usually have lots of PVs potential registering, and they will \"pick and choose\" a certain number of PVs only. The reason is for \"mutual benefit\" as they do not wish to disappoint too many PVs not getting in the school due to excessive number balloting.

                Good Luck!

26.Some schools are holding at temporary locations while their buildings are undergoing PRIME. In this case, which site does MOE use to determine the distance between the school and any given address?

The school’s permanent location will be used to determine the distance. You may check with the school for more details and confirmation.

27.If a school has to move, which site will be used as the reference point to determine distance from my home for the Primary 1 registration?

If the school relocates because of a merger or because it has a new site, the new site of the school will be used to determine the distance. This is provided the expected date of completion of the new school building falls between 1 July of the current year to 30 June of the following year.

If the school moves to a holding school while waiting for its present site to be upgraded or rebuilt, the present site and not the holding site of the school will be used to determine the distance.

So based on MOE website, it is based on permanent site - which is still in Serangoon North.

Can fellow parents share with me how to tell whether dd gets stream into a good, average or requires improvement class? During my days, we can easily tell by class a, b, c, d etc. But nowadays, the names are integrity, virtue, earnest etc, difficult to tell leh…
