Can not be possible everyday do canteen duties for prefect . Anyway it would be up to prefect dept to select. Guess I maybe need to buy extra shirt as there would be too many badges to wear & many holes on the shirt.

I think the children are more used to calling it The diary, where they record their daily homework/ instructions from teacher (if any).

I remember there was someone here who mentioned his or her child will be in 'Beatrice' class for P1 next year...

My boys are now at Zhangde Primary. I was an old school girl, so got in with a breeze.

Just spoken to my boys abt the transfers, but both of them are quite reluctant abt the move and now makes me more \"confused\" if I have done the right thing.

Parents here probably will ask, why in the first place I thought abt moving them?

It's because I have had a challenging year with DS2. He is a bright boy BUT not hardworking. He loves challenges but will become lazy if it's too tough. He finds the school boring, because he could finish his work in a breeze, for 2 years - he hardly has home work to do, cos he would finishes all in class. His K teachers (in Childcare) has discourage me to put him in ZPS when they heard me putting him there, say the place may be too \"slow\" for him. But I thought, since his elder brother is already there and its just a stone throw from our house - walking distance. I think it's OK. Not that now is NOT ok? but even the school counsellor asked me to find a \"better\" school if I can, if not wait till he is in P3 (which is this year) and let him sit for the GEP test.

Honestly, I don't think he CAN or will pass the GEP test. Because, I think.. though he is smart, but he is not hardworking and is very careless. His class teacher for 2 years, kept telling me that he is work hard, he could easily becomes their school's scholar. but DS2 is playful and not paying attention in class. But again, even he is not paying attention - he scored still score 90's.

So, I was thinking if I should send him to a school where it's more academic focus... ZPS is a good school too! but, their focus is more on character building, which I do reckon it's a very important aspect too.

Now.. i am really vexed.. and appreciate experience parents like your goodself can give me some enlightenment.

ZDPS the school is more focus on character development rather than on academic development. Recently had heard the std of ZDPS had gone down & maybe a new Principal would come improve
the standard.

RMPS is quite a stressful academic school, so if you decided to transfer have to mentally prepare for it. By when you need to reply the school or the school would hold the 2 places for you? Maybe your boy if come to RMPS would be good where at least he don't always take things being easy.

RMPS also recent years get chcracter development award so I believe there would be some values being cultivate for each child.

RMPS didn't say by when we need to revert to them, but I am suppose to go to their school tomorrow to get a letter of request for ZPS to release their school report books or something.

Will bring my boys along as well to check out the vicinity. They are still rather skeptical abt the transfer.

DS1 likes ZPS cos it's a walking distance and DS2 wants to stay at ZPS now, cos he is posting to the BEST P3 class next year (I think that's the reason cos parents' meeting is actually tmrow, but his Form teacher aldy release this gd news to him, he is V looking forward to join the class)

DS2 asked me this morning, if RMPS is so \"good\" why in the first place I don't send his elder brother there? and I had to spend time to explain to him abt the enrolment process bla bla bla.. and also tell him that, next time her kid sister will have a choice between ZPS and RMPS.. and then he rebutted then why he didn't have a choice!! I wanna faint....

Honestly, with both my sons' learning attitude, not only they will be stressed in school.. :imdrowning:....i think my DH will kanna also, cos he is a super ON father! Their school work basically do not need much help now.. but KUMON.. on my.. both of them are GOLD in Maths.. ahead of school level.. so kind of tough (i think), looking at how their dad teach them..:x ... see liao.. both my maid and I also scare....:-S
