my baby is only 1 yr old, and we are looking for an apartment for ourselves (currently staying with in laws). Is it too soon to look for 1 within 1 km of good primary schools in Bukit Timah? Will the school shift?

I doubt any of the good schools in Bt Timah will shift as their buildings are pretty new and most of them are single session already. More worrying is that many of them require balloting even if you live within 1km.

It's good that you are planning early. Which school are you eyeing? Would be good to find something within 1km of a few schools so that you have a backup if the balloting situation gets too hot at your 1st choice. Good luck!

Most of the schools will require balloting within 1km in few more years to come as condos are sprouting up nearby. Terrene (within 1km of Pei Hwa) will be up in few years time. Pei Hwa will be upgrading to move to single-session too.

According to the past few year balloting record, Pei Hwa will be better under P2C...

Ai Tong seems harder than Pei Hwa, but since you are planning early, you have the time to get yourself in on an earlier phase. Eg. if you or your DH are Hokkien, join SHHK now, if you haven't already done so. By the time you register, you'd have been a member for about five years already, and hopefully, that gets you in on Phase 2B.

Or you could PV in either schools, but that's dependent on whether you get accepted as a PV.

Thanks a lot. We are teochews so we are can’t join the huayguan. Looks like Pei Hwa got higher chance or maybe better cause my son is a tiger baby! Anyone know of any apartment within 1 km of Pei Hwa, let me know!
