Yes, in my opinion, I think the school will just call up the parents and speak to them.

Usually primary schools are more 'forgiving' towards students due to their age. being 7 years old, I doubt the punishment will be anything serious.

If my son is the bully, I believe I would prefer:
1. School send him for compulsory counselling by FTSC
2. Caning in school done by parent (in front of class and victim's parents)
3. Not allowed to participate in physical or group activities/Detention during recess (buy food and sit outside GO or staffroom to eat & do work/read until recess is over)
4. No record in MOE's system (this has very long term implications in future)

usually at beginning of the yrs, they have buddy system whereby P3 will guide or protect P1… After which, assumption is all being, P1, is one big happy family…


One can’t stop from groups and gangs being formed within P1… And yes form teacher shd be made aware of such things early on i.e. During name calling, and stop from there. Just tt poor kid didn’t highlight nor approach anyone for help, till it becomes physical. I thought sch already got progra to share with kids on how to deal, report on bullies, as well as a hotline for poor little kid to call for help? Parents need to be aware of bully incidents and this can’t be help… Except constantly check on kiddos abt school and classmates behaviours.

As to the bully, hmmm… It is really parent education to addr such behaviour…

They should be punished, counselled and then given the chance to experience being bullied 1st hand! That should do the trick. Children are a reflection of their parents. So may be parents should be \"shamed\" too!

both parents of the bullies should be given public caning in front of their children and the whole school.
