The rank of the Pri Sch does not equate to the abilities of the Students right?
Can be Higher... or Lower...

if they rank it internally for whatever purpose, and not publicised, then it is as good as no ranking

I am doubtful they (MOE) will ever do it. If they do it, it will be seen as praising some and condemning some .....all schools are the same is the mantra

It would not be fair to rank schools…top PSLE scholars have been appearing from neighbourhood schools. A school supposedly rank ‘high’ may not necessarily produce the top student.

for reasons of fairness, I guess MOE will not rank. But MM has already made some comparisons when he visited RPGS and Punggol Primary recently.

would like to check about PV selection.


I am currently staying within 2km but not within 1km. So I am thinking of moving to a small HDB flat that is within 1km. My wife is against it as she heard from her friend that for PV selection, the school will take into account whether the parent stayed within 1km and also the type of house the parent stayed in? Wonder if it is true?

Schools generally take distance into consideration because they don't want parents to waste their time performing volunteer work and in the end get balloted out should a balloting occurs.

As for the type of house the parents stay in - NO. I don't think schools will be so blatant about such discrimination.

Now I have a big headache. Both school that I am interested to do PV are within 2km not 1 km. Should i move to within 1 km. Headache headache
