      JonC:
About IP, I think your theory is not correct.

This is the explanation from DS school's principal.

For these 7 new IP schools the first patch of IP students will only graduate from 'A' Level in 2017 (for VS) and 2018 for the rest, which means when they Sec 4 is 2015 (for VS) and 2016 for the rest, which means they are the P6 in 2011 (to go VS) and P6 2012 for the rest.

WHICH MEANS P6 2010 NOT AFFECTED

So do not confuse the parents here about the 7 IP schools and make the COP of these 7 IP schools higher (possible) and maybe even higher than RI and HCI (unlikely).

If you insists, please call up MOE to check.
Hi JonC, thanks for your clarification!

Firstly, i never ever dare to think that i alone can be so magical
to be able to make the COP of the new IP schools higher and even higher than RI and HCI.....wow.... 😉

Secondly, no need to call MOE to check, what i am trying to say (abt VS) is clearly stated in MOE website under ANNEX B,
u can take a look for yourself under VS and Cedar girls.
(anyway, my posting was orginally tagetted at VS)

Thirdly, i am done with PSLE for the rest of my life.....u can continue your discussion here as u like. Full stop for me.

probably, u're unhappy and displeased with me for pointing out that u didn't get your factual right under the thread of higher chinese.........

Oh, I really didn’t link this to the other (HCL) post and I am not aware it’s you.

I am just stating what DS school’s principal told us. The first day IP was announced, all parents asked the principal and we are told about this and all the parents are so disappointed that they cannot continue with the same school with IP.

Over another thread on "7 IP School" there is 1 very confused parent there too asking about IP and repeat same question multiple times.

Are you referring to gangsters studying in top school themselve and asking money from his fellow schoolmate in the same school?

sometimes bully them into joining the gangs, or they join gangs to avoid being bullied by others (gang or non gang).

Read this yesterday, so sad, how to prevent it 😞

http://www.zaobao.com.sg/sp/sp101121_010.shtml[/quote]Can't prevent. But don't worry, even with a record of serious offense and public caning still can become a scholar in a top school. 😄

If my child were to get his PSLE results, I would prefer to go there alone or with DH, will not bring other children there. This should be his moment, be it excitement/sadness/joy. Want to be there fully for him in case he needs to cry (hopefully with joy) or to give him a good big well done pat on his back.

No doubt PSLE is a very important exam and we will be there with DS when he receives the results. However, we do not make a big deal for the result release event. This is to let the children know that we care more about the process (whether they work consistently and with the right attitude throughout their primary school days) than the result itself. For the same reason, we are always more excited supporting the children in their work/project, than attending any award ceremony.

My DD is in Taiwan now. She went to 孔子庙 to pray for her brother's PSLE result. 姐弟情深。哈哈!

Good luck to all the P6 student! :celebrate:
