Anybody been to Window on China Themepark, Wulai Aboriginal Village, Leofoo Village theme Park or Farmosa FunCoast (Water Theme Park)?.

Went to Wulai but not sure if its the aboriginal village. The old streets were quaint and had a lot of xiaochi. Unfortunately it was raining and we ran out of time too - no thanks to having to watch a touristy theatre performance called the Gaga show. It's supposedly an expensive show but i think u can give it a miss if u r on yr own. Only some parts of the show was good towards the end and the best part at the end was when they open the curtains at the back of the stage and revealed a wonderful view of the wulai waterfalls.

Anyway we were doing an 8-day package tour under ASA and i certainly wont recommend this tour to anyone.

Thanks for sharing.
Have you been to Jiufen?
Yes we did go to Jiufen. It's a wonderful old street with lots of snacks. I enjoyed that.

Hi spitzcookie,

You have an impressive itinerary.
For your trip to Taroko Gorge, you mentioned 廖先生cabbie guide tour of Taroko Gorge & surroundings.
Can you PM his charges to me, if is not so convenient to do so in the public?
Thanks.

How old are your kids? Your iti seems quite packed which are more suitable for more 'bodily abled' people and so your kids may not be able to take it...

Hope all goes well 🙂
Do share your experience when you return from the trip 🙂

Anybody been to

(1) Five Dime Driftwood Restaurant for a meal? How’s the food and charges like?
(2) Wulai Old Street?

Worth making a trip there?
Thanks.

My Taiwanese friend recommended this shabu shabu restaurant. Heard it serves quality food but on the expensive side.

Orange Shabu Restaurant
29-2, Section 4 Ren-Ai Rd
in Da An (Ta An)

Thanks tankee for sharing. Yes, am buying back home. Any particular brand to buy for pineapple tarts? As for beef or pork jerky, are you referring to Black Bridge Brand sausages?

Not that i have tried many different brands to make recommendation

I had only tried two brand so far, the one from Vigor has a nicer crust and not too sweet fillings, but a little more expensive. 😞

http://www.taiwan-vigor.com.tw/front/bin/ptlist.phtml?Category=349745

Jerky are not sausage. But ang mo type of bak kua. Stronger in taste and nit oily. Comes in varying degree of tenderness.

😄
