Glad to know that you had make a decision on this, perhaps you can check with the school whether can you join in the P1 oridentation? Had the school done any oridentation with your child already?

Thanks all who had share your experience in this forum as well as sending pte emails to me.

Yupe, finally had settled the admission and we went for a short holiday immediately after that. Just got back.. .. and am bushed!

(1) Nope. I cant join the P1 orientation. i have asked Madam Wendy Gwee said that it's for P1 only. But I can speak to the teachers on day 1 for orientation. I don't know how though but shall sees how... Hubby will see 1 and I will see another one (P3 and P4).

DS2 is assigned to TOP P3 in ZPS 2011, that's why is he kind of \"relunctant\" to move. Guess he is uncertain that's why... *sigh...

Where is the class register in this forum? Page 1?? where? hmm... sorry.. am new to this forum and I am not V \"IT\" inclined.... heeee... still learning how to use this..

Both DS1 (P4) and DS2 (P3) will be joining Radin Mas in 2011 - yes confirmed. As i was going through some of the past threads. I realised they are probably the OLDest kids in this forum But as new as those joining P1 next year.

I had spoken to Madam Wendy Gwee on 18 Nov 2010 when I was doing the admission paper works. I've asked her if RMPS has some kind of Parents' handbook that allows us to understand the school's system better e.g. School hours, school map (simple one that explains exit/entrance), parents' boundary, etc. She told me no. (ZPS has one)

So as a new parents to RMPS, i've asked to join the P1 orientation so that I could also visit the school areas, she said NO that's for P1. But I can ask questions to their form teacher on day 1 if any. But aren't the form teacher supposed to be in the class, debriefing the children, where got time for us? :?

Appreciate parents from RMPS could give me some insights on the same.

The school has yet called me and informed me abt the class they will be allocated to. But since the children here are much younger, I don't think our kids will \"meet\"?

I think the top 3 classes are 3M, 3A2 and 3S. Correct me if I am wrong.

It has all along been M, A2 and S, from P3-P6. There are usually 8 classes, and if you put the alphabets together, they form the words \"RADIN MAS\". Hence, the classes that form the MAS word are the Top 3 classes.

That was during Mdm Lee's time, and has been in practice for ages. Not sure how the arrangement will be like next year. I presume it should be the same.

What you can do is to find out your sons' form teachers on the first day of school, and check if they are available in the afternoon. You can talk to them in the afternoon, right?

However, that is provided you are allowed into the school premise. The school allows parents in the premise during the first week for pupils in the afternoon session. This arrangement is possible because of the P1s.
