School lifes at P1 and 2 is ok. Teachers are responsible and patience.
Seriously, please advice if you would say that P1 and P2 was a breeze?
Please do update us frequently on the challenges, school's ways and effectiveness of your coaching methods etc etc
School works are manageable but be prepared for sudden 'projects'.
Exam papers difficulty levels are ok too..... if you load your ds/dd frequently with past yrs papers/assessment books. -

How heavy is the daily workload? I'm trying to figure out how to ease my DD into the routine of daily work if required...
We've only just started working on some CA papers. But one only every night... she finds doing it fun, but dislikes the checking part..
what is your advice on the appropriate amount of practice? -

For P2, you will start to see them taking back homeworks.
Especially nearer to SA1/SA2 period, more heavy.
For my case - I buy those assessment books (english/Maths/Chinese) and get my ds to complete it daily basis.
In holidays, he has to do 8-10 pages daily.
In school days, I will cut down to 3-4 pages daily (that is I already confirmed he completed his school homeworks)
After 3-4 books completed for each subject, then I will move towards those past yrs SA1/SA2 papers for him to do. 2 papers per day.
1 day before SA1/SA2, I will go through those past assessment books/papers only focusing on those mistakes. -
End of p3 - selection of prefects.
Prefects will start their "duties" from p4 onwards. -

Do you mean P1?
For P1 Maths, it starts with signle digit number bonds. Simple + and -.
So I'm sure kids should at least know the basics.
For languages, it is just text, grammers and vocabs.
Likewise for P2, it just gets harder a bit.
For Maths, it has fraction, so you might to teach first before throwing the papers to them.
For languages, it is just more indepth vocabs and complex grammers -

In the top 3 classes, more than half of each class will be selected as prefects! Then these selected kids will undergo some programmes usually held during the sch hols.
These selected prefects will hold their \"title\" until they leave the school.
