At a tender age of 7, nowadays kid are getting bolder. For instance, my P1 gal was bully and hurt by another classmate from another class. It happened on last Thurs when school is closing for school holiday. She was scratch and pinch till blue black on her arm, 3 BIG blue black mark. Beside doing this to my poor gal, this boy also did same thing to ownself, accusing my gal returning the bullying! I went to meet the Disciplinary Master on last Fri and till now, no follow up call are given, will drop them an email again to demand for an answer.

        :offtopic:

        That was just one incident.

I have to share two more.

One time I was taking a walk with DD and we bumped into the little girl and her grandmother walking their dog. I pointed to the dog and DD said excitedly:\"dog, dog.\" I said:\"Yes darling, dog dog.\" The grandmother then said to me:\"Teach your baby the right thing. It's \"dog\" and not \"dog dog\". Or she will talk like a silly girl.\" DD was 8 months young. I was :x

Another time, I was nursing DD in our room. DH caught the little girl's older brother, a young teen (maybe 12-14 yearsold?) peeping into our room. The audacious little pervert! Our room is on the second floor. He'd have to climb onto our roof to access our room window! Both DH & I were :x :x :x :x

I hate to say this but I think the whole family same same.

And again, what are the parents doing?

        Hi Duriz,

Do you mean they are your neighbour and you know them? It seems that you stay in private landed property.....[/quote]I don't know them personally.

But we live in the same estate (unfortunately).

Oh no, what kind of grandma is that? Why should she interfere with what you are teaching YOUR child? I can only say that both kids 没家教, even the grandma also got issues. Did you guys haul the boy back to his home? I bet if he had fallen off your roof, the grandma will make a lot of noise. :!:

I'm thinking there's bound to be an instigator in that group of 5 who attacked that 1 kid. This instigator has some leadership quality here. 😛 Though applied wrongly lah.

Caning will not solve the problem. The pain that they feel will soon be forgotten. They are only in P1 now so there is a good chance that if guided properly, they will turn out well. Most important of all will be how the parents handle these kids going forward.

I hope I am not making a sweeping statement. It seems that there are alot of difficult personailty in landed property. Still remember that Joo Chiat daughter-father duo. I dont' encounter this problem in the HDB's playground. But of course there are rough children too.

                      Hi WeiHan

If both granny and maid turn to deaf ears of not returning, I'll still proceed to carry her off the bike myself. Worst still, if their attitude sucks. All the more I will do it. 😛

                      Hi chartelaine,

For an adult to just carry a 4 years old out of the bike with anger is itself a violent tendency. Even though you don't injure the child in anyway by doing that, but you are using your superiority in strength to resolve the issue.
