Yes, that's a very good idea and it will be a very personalised avatar too.

I also want to do that with my dog's photo, but problem is that it is VERY difficult to get a nice picture of her since she is jet black! Her pictures never come out nice! :roll:

yr dog all black, my cat all white....haha, what's a contrast
the prob now is that my old photos not in the current netbook now, and the scanner cannot connect to this netbook......
but get ah hub to do somethig first....and he seems not interested in doing at all

Seriously, I think it is a lot easier to capture the picture of an all-white pet as opposed to an all-black pet! Had a white rabbit before we had the dog and his photo turned out much better than my all-black dog! :roll:

Since your husband is not free to help you, why not take a new picture of the cat instead of waiting for your husband to help you out? :?

Oh..maid...talking abt my poor cat, he is not with me now, so cannot take any photos.....
he was given away to a malay cat lover (i advertised for it) when my gal was borned.
on the condition that they allowed me to visit my cat...BUT...BUT
when their grandfather came to singapore, he was so attached to my cat,
he took it back to him to Malacca...
now lost contact with this family, dun even now whether my cat still suvive in this world or not.....So Sad......

But at least you knew that the cat was well loved and that's why was brought up to Malacca by the Grandpa. I don't know much about cats and I don't want to sound like a wet blanket here but I very much doubt the cat is still around after so many years.

You said you gave the cat away when your girl was born and that's like 13 years ago, not forgetting you probably had the cat with you for a while before your girl came.
