        Hi all, need advice here...

I intend to sign up my k1 son for English enrichment class. But I am at a loss on which one to go for.
My son communicates in English most of the time. He is a rather confident child and is not shy so I am wondering if Speech and Drama class will be good for him. But at the same time, I want him to continue to develop his confidence.
What I am worried about is his ability to read and write English. He is doing fine with his weekly spelling in school. But when it comes to reading, it is really 😢

So I am not sure if I should send him to phonics class, reading class or S&D?
Is there a course which has some components in each of the above?
I was actually rather interested in Julia Gabriel's Edudrama. But I am not sure if it will help my son in his reading skills. Anyone can share their experience in this?
Morris Allen is another school I am looking at. But I was told that there is spelling. I certainly do want additional pressure for him (and me  )

        Thanks for any advice!

You may want to refer the following thread which would give you some info on reading program.

To my knowledge, Montessori centres… Talent Plus centres…

Appletree centres… and Tumble Tots centres… cater for children
from either 18mths or 2 years old onwards on a daily programme.

Not sure of specific ones in your area cos we’re residing in the West.
But the abovementioned ones are the few who run daily programmes
                  that i know of.

If I’m not mistaken, there is Talent Plus at blk 187 Punggol Central. Alternatively, you might like to check as some childcare might offer few hours program too.

                    Cheers,

                      Will PM you the name.
                      They have school bus service.

Anyway, I happen to pass by SKCC today, the have Talent Plus there. I think they have playgroup for 18mths onwards. You can try enquiring there.

                        Hi,

My younger child will be turning 3 next year. I am thinking of sending her to language enrichment centres (english & chinese) instead of Pre-nursery. Any mummies could advise what are the good language enrichment centres? Thanks.
