I do daily reflections haha. I love literature
Good for you!lolkthanksbye:
You see, I am still proud to be part of the Institution, as long as it is detached from 50% of the student community. Changing classes for next year, hope I get shuffled into a class with nicer, less scheming people.
It would be my advice to recall the boy and the echo in the mountain story. Reflect a while about whats wrong with your current position and what you could set right . A shift in attitude maybe in line.
Sorry if i am assmuing here, ignore if you feel that doesnt apply to you.

Your classmate stealing your notes is plain stupid. As for the acting in History and lit class....just make sure yourselves that you learn the most out of it and not waste time with this kinda activities. as for the teacher bias part.....it depends on personality of the teacher...you should not make sweeping statement.
yea sure. are you Pang Wei Han, by any chance? -
ksi:
276 is correct....top 15 students are out on MOE website.

I have nothing against the Chinese (and know quite a handful personally) but personal anecdotes suggest otherwise. My godsister from Ningbo graudated from JC last year and is now in UC Berkeley with no intentions of coming back to work or live here. Same thing with seniors who went to Ivies like Cornell and Dartmouth. My ex-tuition teacher comes from Shanghai and has been in Singapore for well over a decade but still sees China as home.
They are Singaporeans as well. They study here, they probably would sink roots here, just listen to what they say. So yea, my gripe is with you people not acknowledgin that the 'foreign' scholars are singaporeans too.
If you think your holiday homework load is bad, I can assure you it is not; it is normal. O track people have EVEN more to do over the hols, apart from additional classes. The amount of work Oxbridge or Ivies undergrads do during their break; now THAT is horrifying. Ours is like the tip of the iceberg in comparison -

DS got 255. I am happy with it.

They can be Singaporean in attitude. Tell me, is the spirit of the law more important or the letter of the law? As long as one considers himself part of the Singaporean community and he isn't an illegal migrant, he can be 'Singaporean', no problem.lolkthanksbye:

They can only be cosider Singaporean if they are holding a pick IC when taking PSLE. How many of them are holding it? I am pretty sure that despite that the top student might be a Singaporean but I firmly believe there will be a few non-Singaporean lining up next to him.
I like your attitude of upgrading yourself and self improvement when you are behind the Q, keep it up or you will be left behind. -

personally, that seems understandable, for your tuition teacher he/she has the same mindset as the migrants of the 1800s. your seniors are smart in my opinion haha, the US > Singapore.
