Sorry, I only know that they are on the new IP school list, but forgot when they are going to implement it, have not been following the info.ksfaith:
No comments/feedback about SJI, but you might want to consider SJI's Independent status and the soon to be implemented IP when you make your choice?
Hi 25hour,
You mean if i chose SJI, My son may be able to switch to IP
What I meant was you might want to find out more about the possibilities of going inot the IP route if you decide to put SJI as your 1st choice.
SJI will be starting their IP wef academic year 2013; see details at

Ok Meow! at least I know that you got your info from Hwa Chong's website and only for 2009. Well whatever. Just thought I'd share the facts that I found out.
Haha okay
and I don't have a vested interest in HC, in case anyone was wondering!

you should go for nan chiau... it'll be moe's 11th SAP school w.e.f. 2012 and it's a band 1 school this year. i foresee more amazing things coming from this school in the years to come. imho, xinmin is on the road to decline. the incoming principal is from a lower ranking sec sch and the school has been slipping down rankings as it is. no offence eh, just my opinion. My DD got 239 ...am thinking if we should risk putting CEDAR as her first choice? She was really upset and cried so bad this morning as she was so hopeful about making it to CEDAR...
Currently other options under consideration are :
Chung Cheng High Main
Xin Min
Nan Chiau
Presbyterian High
Any advice?????? :? -

my son only score 210 for his PSLE result. i dnt know which school should i choose. pls advice me
Where do you stay, then identify the schools around your area. Choosing a school near my house is one of the best decisions I've ever made. I wake up at 6.30am every morning, take my time to have breakfast and reach home within 20 minutes. Hours in secondary school are quite long, so sleep is good!
Secondly, drive/walk/etc round the school and the environment. Attend the Open House, ask a few questions and generally get a feel of the school.
Lastly, it all depends on the individual. There can be lazy people/bad influences in RI/RGS/HCI/etc.
Good luck! -

Heard Bukit Batok not bad, I'm not too sure about the COP though. -

School brand is not important. \"Strict\" is good for my girl. Thank you for your advice. Any other alternative? do you think I can try for those schools with score of 214-219? 10 marks different? Deyi, GuangYang & Beatty?
If you don't mind a small school with strict discipline, you can try Peirce Sec (along Upper Thomson Road). Main entrance from Sin Ming Road (beside Bishan Park Secondary School).chrilam:
Hi, mine got 209. Having headache too on selecting reputable school around Bishan, AMK , Toa Payoh area.
PSS is strong in uniform groups. -

Just my observation over the years.
\"COP for most schools should be higher this year\" - appreciate if you can elaborate the reason.atutor2001:
The top scorer of 282 is very very very good. To have 3 points more than the 2nd top scorer is a lot in terms of raw score for easy papers. This guy must have gotten 100 marks for at least 2 papers and near perfect score for the rest.
COP for most schools should be higher this year.
When the papers are easy, top scorer will be around 280. When 1 or more papers are killer, top scorer will be more than 285.
When papers are easy, COP for RGS is about 265 and when there is a tough paper, COP for RGS is about 262.
I think it has got to do with the \"spread\" or standard deviation. When paper is easy, the spread will be smaller so many students will be bunched together in the range of 240 to 275 making the COP of most schools to increase by 1 to 2 points as compared to a year with tough paper.
