      INNOVATE:

We need both RI and HCI to compete against each other only than overall standards can rise. No one is superior to the other. RI is no longer that angmos pie with a fair number of chinese scholars around and HCI is also not exclusively chinese pie with their renown humanities programme that's so angmos.

That's what i hve been telling to people. Any argument to claim that one is superior to the other is totally not instructive.
      I totally agree!

like I mentioned earlier on, the basis of choosing one over the other should NOT be be based on which one is better; instead that judgement call should be based on which school will suit my child better and will allow him/her to thrive and realise his/her potential.

Forget all CHIJ schools for the best one like ST. Nicks is out of reach and the nxt one IJ Toa Payoh, their cop at times is almost unpredictable. Yr best alternative in my opinion is St. Margaret- a high value added school. Yr nxt few choices should include Zhonghua, Nan Chiau, Prebetarian High, Yishun Town and Chung Cheng Yishun. All should be within 30mins travelling time.

          Hi,

Anybody know does the HMT bonus point is applicable to non SAP school?

What I mean is, my child is offer a SAP school and if I choose a non SAP school, will the HMT bonus point be added to her T-score.

          Thanks!!

Hi innovative, thank you sooooo much for your help. How is xinmin? Are all these schools like zhonghua, xinmin emphasizing a lot on chinese culture or do they have a good mix of all races?

First choice Maris nxt Clementi Town, the rest chose nearby schs in descending cop.

No worries. Yr son will be posted to his first choice. Yr backup is Clementi, a decent school.

Nope, the HMT bonus point is only for meant for admission to a SAP school. Cannot be used to \"increase\" the score for admission to a non-SAP school.

                      Hi all,

Need some advise here ... :?:
My ds got 234 and he wants to appeal to SJI, so I'm thinking of putting :

                      1st - SJI
                      2nd - Maris Stella

do you know if his chance of getting into Maris Stella will be lower just because he put it as his 2nd choice ?

                      Thank you

Yes, YLH88, take INNOVATE's advice, put Maris Stella as 1st choice, his chance of getting in is very high.

                      agreed withh 25hrmaid
