Hi! I am kind of caught in a dilemma. I am already dsa-ed into ACSI, but with an aggregate score of 262, I am considering going to Raffles Institution. I intend to appeal to RI. Can someone tell me what my chances are of getting into RI and which is better, RI or ACSI and why?

      Thanks a million!
V gd chance. Go for RI. All the best!

I think you have a very good chance of getting RI. Your appeal is most likely to be successful. That is obvious, I think.

Which is better - RI or ACSI - is difficult to answer since RI leads you to A-levels while ACSI will lead you into IB. They are not really comparable like RI vs HCI. Apart from that, there are a host of other differences also between RI and ACSI.

So here I will suggest that you go with your own preferences. Which one do you like - RI or ACSI. Just go for it.

My son scored 252 +3,he has been offered all the 3 categories of third language choices as well as HMTL. His friends who scored below 250 have been offered categories 1 and 2 third language choices.

For top 10%, has to be those students who are offered all 3 categories of 3rd language. I'm interested to know too ...

Maybe someone can say if 240+ have that letter (cfrm all 3 categories).

i got 270 and was offered all 3 categories

Yep but so far what's the lowest? 250 with the 3 categories offered?

If I'm not wrong, they will count her score as 250 so there should be a good chance! πŸ™‚

My son got 3A* and 1A for his PSLE this year, but his aggregate marks is only 249. If based on the lowest score for each of his A*s and A, the calculation also does not justify the mark to be only 249... could there be a typo or calculation error? How can I appeal? I go to this website http://www.seab.gov.sg/ but were can I find the exact site where I can appeal?

Sorry to be a damper, but very, very slim chance for a 246 to get into RV.
