      My son only score 230.

Since TKSS so good I would like to apply.
The problem is their COP is 234, short of 4 points.

      Possible? ๐Ÿ™

It is a bit risky. Then 2nd & 3rd choice must be very careful.

          No harm applying.
If can't get in, then moe will consider his 2nd choice.
It is not based on first come first serve basis.

          TKSS is a good school.
My DS is having a good time there.

Risky? not risky than me when we attempt a 10pts gap at anderson based on last year COP

Xinmin last year was 240, we got 235 this year and put XM first choice. didnt get so even 5 points is too much to cover.

My DS is happy in the school.
He does not find it stifling.
The teachers there are cheerful and are open to discussions with students and parents.
DS is enjoying his CCA as well.

                  Hi there,

need some input between tanjong katong school and anglican high

                  which one is better

eventhough ahs is band 1 school and rating better than tkss, i myself find tkss is more lively and suitable for my DS who is considered a shy person.

                  i am in dillemaโ€ฆ
my DS wants AHS but i prefere TKSSโ€ฆ

I thought the S1 posting is already out?

How come you still in a dilemma?
If your DS prefers AHS, then let him be.
My DS is in TKSS and he is happy there.
I was in a dilemma between VS, SST and TKSS last year, so I brought my DS to the three schools, explained to him what each had to offer and let him decide. He chose TKSS.
Now my DD who will be in P6 next year wants to go to TKSS when in secondary school cos she heard so much about the school not only from her brother but also his friends!

                      Thx for d input carebear.

My DS posted to tkss but we are appealing at AHS.
I am in dilemma if he is accepted at AHS thru the appeal.
Now AHS cop is up to 242 from 240.
My DS t score is 237.
Do u think we don't have hope for AHS appeal?
If so, I don't want to waste time waiting as I cant buy the tkss uniform and booklist as my son is still hoping for AHS .
Btw. What make ur DS like tkss ? I saw d review of tkss , the majority said their kids are happy in there.
But what make them happy ? I m curious indeed ๐Ÿ™‚

                      Thx again

Hi momof3musketters, when i attended the school orientation and met the principal of TKSS, i felt that he was all out to bring out the best of each child. The teachers whom i came across during the year also seem to share the same ambition as the principal.

What I think make the students happy is that they are treated like young adults. The teachers are open to discussion.
