Anybody has the breakdown of 2010 PSLE T-score distribution e.g. top 1% score? top 2% score etc?

So far, the information available are:

260 for top 3%
252 currently the lowest for top 10%. Any lower please update.

Someone posted 250 for top 10% somewhere in the forums.

Thanks for your guidance. I've just checked. CHIG St Theresa's Convent banding has not been good over the years i.e. B9 (05); B8(06); B9(07); B6(08); B8(09) and B7(10)....but affiliated with CJC

I seriously do not mind even if i get into my 3rd choice and below schools because my parents and relatives have heard good feedback on Clementi Town, Fuhua Kranji, Bukit Batok.

So, my choices are safe considering i've chosen 2 schools above my COP, 1 school at my COP and 3 other schools below my COP?

thank you again.

Yes, I think that is a wise choice. If you cannot go into Choice 1 and Choice 2, you should be able to get into the school where your score is between its COP range. Actually, the 4 schools you mentioned (Clementi Town, Fuhua, Kranji, Bukit Batok) are all good schools.

Hope you enjoy your 4 years of study and do well for your 'O' level !

Thank you Koguma...tks for listening and replying.
Yes, I promise to work hard in the next 4 years....
very much appreciated.

What do you think of following choice for 260 +2

1) RGS
2) NJC
3) St Nicholas
4) Cedar
5) Crescent
6) CHIJ TP

do u think the chances of RGS is very slim? Definitely prefer my Dd to go to a girls school but she wants to try the IP.
since u prefer yr DD to go yo a all girls' sch and she wants to try IP,
why not include NYGH as yr 2 nd choice
(though NYGH last yr COP is 263, with yr DD's score of 262 is worth a try)
and yr choice of NJC goes to 3rd,
in this way, even if she does not qualify for RGS or NYGH, she still have her NJC.
(must add....provided NJC COP does not exceed 260 this yr, but u have a buffer of 3 points to play about ) πŸ˜„

Hi, need some good advice here.

What do you think of following choices for 230 :

1.) Tanjong Katong Secondary school (COP 234)
2.) Nan Chiau (COP 231)
3.) Temasek Sec Sch (COP 230)
4.) ?
5.)??
6.)???

Thank in advance.
😞 😞 😞 :?: :?: :?: :?: :? :? :?

Hi 25hours, pls give me your comments

1st: RV

2nd: NH

3rd: SJI

4th:Catholic

5th: Bukit panjang Govt

6th: Commonwealth

1st and 2nd seem logical to me and in my opinion, your chance of getting into NH is pretty high as your son's T-score is quite way above NH's.

But 3rd and 4th seem a bit illogical, unless of course, you very much prefer SJI over CH. I would switch the two if it is my case.

Your 4th and 5th are relatively safe but I very much doubt you would have a chance to use them at all.

That's said, I personally think you have made very wise and realistic choices based on your son's score. :celebrate:

Hihi 25hours

The reason why i put SJI 1st is because of distance.

We attended the RV Open House 2010 yesterday. Very impressed with the school, the way the students conduct themselves, the programme offered.

Already submitted the 6 choices of schools, RV being the first choice. πŸ˜„

OIC and yes, I did guess that could be the reason for your choices! Cheers! :celebrate: Once again, must congratulate you on your wise choices.

Finally can sleep peacefully tonight and wait for 22 December, right?
Dear all, advise please. My child psle result is 223. So far this is what we have on the list:

Chung Cheng (Yishun) cop: 230, mean: 235, median: 233
Gan Eng Seng, cop: 222, mean: 228, median: 227
Mayflower, cop: 222, mean: 225, median: 225
Hua Yi, cop: 221, mean: 225, median: 225
Bowen, cop: 221, mean: 226, median: 225
Peirce, cop: 208, mean: 213, median: 212

Her cca is international dance and she is from River Valley Primary. Is the list too aggressive or good strategy. Worst outcome we are hoping she is going to Gan Eng Seng.

Advise please, pretty please to this confused mother-daughter.

HI my child is also from river valley.... He scored 230 trying to get to ang mo kio sec...Mind telling me your daughter's name? ( Sry , my son has been presurrizing me to post this question)

Hi Jeremyjamey, not a problem at all. My dd's name is Annisa, she is from P6 Patience.
