Hi. I'm not a parent, but a child using her mother's account. I just set up the account and my mother asked me to ask a question on her behalf.

I would like to ask if it is wise of me to choose these 6 schools which are currently on my list of preferred secondary shcools. My aggregate score is 255+2(for HCL) and i am from Kong Hwa School.

1.Dunman High
2.Cedar Girls
3.Anglican High
4.CCHMS
5.TKGS
6.Temasek secondary school

The COP for Dunman High is 258 and one mark higher than my aggregate of 257 so i would like to ask if it is wise for me to try to get into that school.

Hi, no harm trying as you miss by just 1 mark. Even if can't get into DHS, Cedar should be no problems.

The lowest score last year was 259. you should get in no prob

255 + 2 is quite safe to put DHS as your first choice, but again, there is no guarantee of whether you are able to get into DHS. It all depends on the students applying to get in every year, so whether the COP will drop or not is anyone's guess, but that said, looking at your choices, I would say they are good choices, chosen with care. :celebrate:

need some good advices.


my ds had fever during psle, with special consideration of 4 points, he has 232. goin to appeal for sst as he didnt manage to clear e 2nd around. now, we are struggling as to which schools to choose. seems like too risky to put sji as 1st choice, but we can only appeal if we put sji as 1st choice rite? our choices :-

1st choice - sji
2nd choice - maris stella / nan chiau
3rd choice - clementi town
4th choice - ?
5th choice - ?
6th choice - ?

we are staying at bt timah.
