Hi, my daughter scored 254 in her PSLE. She would like to put Dunman High, Cedar Girls', Anglican High and Xinmin Sec for her 1st to 4th choice respectively. Do you think it is ok? She did better in her English language and Science than her Mother Tongue and Math. I'm also concerned whether distance will be an issue if she enters DHS, Cedar Girls' or Xinmin as we live in Tampines. However, I can't find any school in the East Zone having a COP of 250 and above. Any advice?

      Thanks. 😄

Wise choices! Even yr dd will to miss the cut on her top choice, she will at least land herself in Cedar. The rest of the options are not critical to you in this instance.

[St Nic's is a all girls school. Nan hua is mixed. Both are SAP schools but St Nic's is also a mission school. I believe St Nics standard is slightly higher than Nan Hua. I don't know what is your DD's score but for me, I prefer a all girls' school for my DD to a mixed school.

St Nics is functioning at a temporary location in Toa Payoh and will move back to their upgraded campus. Since the school will become IP in a couple of years' time, I would think that it would get more \"funding\" from MOE. Just a guess.
Hi lizawa, thank you for your advice. My DD score 246+2. Is her chance of getting into St Nic high?
This thread should be renamed '2010 PSLE Results Report and Secondary School Consultation Here'.

Good idea, but I think I would leave it to the thread starter, WeiHan to edit it if he deems it fit.

The starter of the thread cannot amend the topic title.
Em cannot edit? :? But never mind, if you are okay with it, I can help you.

What new title do you suggest? I will do it for you.

Very high chance of your son getting into RV given his score. RV is a SAP school, so the HMT can be used, so if accepted, he would be accepted based on the T-sore of 254, which is 3 marks about RV current COP of 251. Good luck.

              Thank you!!!
You are most welcome. Glad to be of help.

is there a compilation on the list of COP for different sec schs over the years, with a breakdown for affiliated and non-affiliated students?

hi, which one shd be the higher choice – MGS or Cedar – for my daughter who got 253. She got A*s in English, Maths and Science, but we want a school that is stronger in Maths and Science as those are her strengths…Is it true that Cedar is better in Maths and Science than MGS?

And does everyone need to sit for a test to get into the Sophia Blackmore Programme at MGS?

That's all I have, points are based on non-affliation.

                      Hi All,

My girl score a 190 in her PSLE as she was sick on her Math Paper 😞 ,
she was given express and Normal Acd. which school should i choose for 190 leaving in Bedok? poor girl as she don't have much choices.....

she was aiming at Ngee Ann Sec. but the score is too high even for NA which COP from 192-199...

anyone know a school which is good and with a low COP for Express? or any opinion is welcome.

                      thanks
You may want to try Bedok Green or Bedok View.

Yes, for girls who did not get in via DSA, hv to sit for a test.
