Hi all,
Can anyone englighten on Chung Cheng High Main? Is it a good sch? Despite SAP, it is a band 3 sch. I am worried abt its high emphasis on Chinese, not sure if my son is able to cope as his HMT is also not very strong. I visited the sch, it is quite old and run down but currently undergoing rebuilding and improvising the existing sch. -

actually, to me, i think they are popular, but i don't really think it is a good school... but their chinese is strong. same, i went to the school, i felt that the school is very run down and old, that will make the children not have to feeling to study.Hi all,

But they are renovating
which means the place will look cleaner! so i think it might be good. U may have a different view of it, but that's my opinion.

My son T-Score 257+2 HMT. The primary school teacher suggested NJC and Dunman High School.
NJC, DHS better than HCI? -
Hynion:
Hm, I am surprised why the teacher doesn't suggest HCI as the 1st choice. If i were you, I will put HCI, NJC, DHS in that order. Provided distance is not an issue for you and school fees also not an issue. My son T-Score 257+2 HMT. The primary school teacher suggested NJC and Dunman High School.

HCI being an independent school, the school fees will be much higher than NJC and DHS. If your son has not been offered EESIS, you will need to pay higher school fees. Of course, depending on your income, there will be different tiers of subsidy. See : http://www.hci.edu.sg/ContentPage.asp?TID=244 -

Yes, he's in GEP.[/quote]Didn't he tried DSA to DHS?
Your son offered EESIS at 253? Is he from GEP?MdmKS:

Yes, he's offered, and with 3rd language option. He scored 2 A* 2 A. Still feeling a waste if dont choose IP school. Actually was advised to put Dunman as 1st choice (think very slim), then CH as 2nd choice. Should I follow this advise? -

Hi Kelly,
All posting is based on merit. So it doesn't matter whether you put that school as 1st choice or 6th choice. If you meet the COP, you will get in. Only difference is, if you put at 6th choice and if you happen to meet the COP of any of the 5 choices above this choice, you get into the school of earlier choice first. -

Yes. My son's choices from 1st to 6th are HCI, RI, DHS, NJC, ACS(I) and CHS. We understand the 2nd choice RI is a waste. Just want to fill up 6 choice.
