Suggest to keep the maid for 6 months after entering into the centre. At least there is a backup plani was thinking of going maidless once my baby goes to childcare starting in Dec but hesitating cos he may not get use to the centre.
does any of u have any difficulties during the initial period of maidless?
I intend to keep my maid for 6 months when my DD goes to N2 next yr -

Your child may have difficulties adjusting to the childcare centre...from being the only child to many kids around and not getting the attention he is used to. So, I suggest you keep your maid in the meantime.i was thinking of going maidless once my baby goes to childcare starting in Dec but hesitating cos he may not get use to the centre.

Also be prepared for your child to fall sick more often bcos of the exposure. -
oh goodness, wat a 4getful mami i am. i totally forgotten abt younger children at getting infected more easily…hmm…we shall see if breast milk really does makes the immunity stronger…lol

ya... you will expect the child to fall sick for the first few months so a maid around will be handy to help outSo, I suggest you keep your maid in the meantime.

I gave him Milo and little breast milk every morn when he was in K2 (just had #2 then) and he hardly fell sick after that. -
Hi pecalis
I'm also using rainbow vaccum cleaner. BTW, have you ever asked any technician to change the vaccum filter?pecalis:
You allow ear-plug for music and hp chatting? I found tt irritating and told maid (with me for 8mths) to stop b4 it becomes a habit.lakesidemum:
To add on, need not see the \"plug-a-earplug\" maid walking around the whole day. Just cannot understand why they have endless topics to talk about.
As for the mop, I swear by the spin mop, now cannot live without it now. Well, still sourcing around for a good vacuum thou, anyone to recommend? Prefer the water based one.
I also started using Spin and Go - not too bad, pail heavy though. With this, my 6yr old and 10 yo help me to mop the floor too
However, must sun the mop head, if not, funny smell
It certainly makes mopping so much easier, but the replacement mop head is also expensive, around $16 each.
Heard tt Dyson vacuum cleaner is good. I'm using Rainbow - love it too. Mine is 15yr old - inherited from my MIL, but very well maintained. I almost wanted to get from Karcher too - not too expensive. -

Is this Irobot really this good?I have been using the Osim steam + vacuum cleaner. Its very nice and clean. But its the after job more tedious. Need to wash all the parts after vacuum. I need 2hrs to clean up 4rm flat.
Ever since I have my 1st DD. I seldom use liao.. can say once a year only. Now have 2nd DS.. even worst. I just used it last month and the parts are falling out soon and the suction program is going to haywire. Still thinking of calling up Osim to replace the spare parts or get a new one like iRobot which I dont need to monitor and let it clean the hse everyday.

The irobot is not able to vacuum corners…I still believe in my karcher once a week. The irobot vacuums the areas which we walk on…have to close 2 eyes lah.

Have any of you tried the Delphin cleaner? My colleague just bought one and I must say, it’s impressive! The lady came to do free demo at my place.
It sucks up all the dust mites and can be used to clean mattress, carpet, floors and even air con. The amount of dust and dirt that was extracted from my mattress was quite shocking!! It’s also an air purifier. My colleague’s son has allergy to dust mites and they used the delphin to clean his mattress once in 2 weeks and to purify the air. His rashes are much better and they only started using about 1 month ago.
We’re considering buying but still undecided as it cost more than $3k! Hubby got a shock when told the price!! They have interest free instalment plan which works out to $95 per month so it’s not too bad, but feel quite heart pain to spend so much!!
Any feedback on this? -
I have a Delphin vacuum cleaner which I brought few mths ago. My DH is the one using. No complains from him. We brought it as we like the bagless design and don’t need to change filter.
