My dad's fren appeal for his son last year.
About 200-300 students appeal. Unless he got strong CCA (national champion or something like that), chances of the appeal quite slim.

but don't give up the chance to appeal...243 is quite close to this year's COP...
is your son good in football or other sports?
VS quite biased towards boys who are good in football
they have entered the National Finals 5 times in the last few years (B and C Div) and only lost to Sports School each time

Thanks ManU123. We will put VS as 1st choice and hope for the best. I'm afraid he's not into sports, but he's a leader for his Science Club CCA. Not sure if that will help. We're keeping our fingers crossed. :xedfingers:
His 2nd choice would be TKSS. Although he would very much love to be in a boys' school, I guess there's not much options with his aggregate.

Although he would very much love to be in a boys' school, I guess there's not much options with his aggregate.[/quote]243 is a very good score....it is just that every year, there r hundreds of students with around the same scores who appeal...unless VS COP drop a bit or they taking in a bigger intake (not sure if this will happen)...
for appeal cases, they look at wat stand out in the student compared to the rest...
TKSS is also a very good school...

Last year’s cop was 245. Will only know this year’s once the S1 posting exercise is over.

My son scored 243 for PSLE. Can he still go to that school? He missed the cut-off point just by more or less 2 points. His brother is in there.

He got straight A's and A* for math.

Chances are not very good . However he can still try. No one knows the COP for this year.

We will not know the COP until 22nd or 23rd Dec.
We will only be notified which school we will be going to on 22nd Dec.
