How about this year's S1 cohort? What is their lowest PSLE score for Victoria School? ๐Ÿ™

We will not know the COP until 22nd or 23rd Dec.
We will only be notified which school we will be going to on 22nd Dec.

VS has always been a popular choice for PSLE students.

Last year 200-300 students appeal after they were not accepted.

243 and 245 are quite close.
if ths yearโ€™s general standard has dropped - there may be a good chance for those wth 243 scores.
        All the best!

Please reply A.S.A.P. Tomorrow is the last day to confirm the 6 choices of S1 schools ๐Ÿ˜ข
This yr's S1 cohort (excl DSA) is also 2009 COP, which was stated as 245 inearlier post.

at 243, I wld have a go at it if it's my dream school.

P.S. Click wrong button just now....

2009 COP is 245,meaning the last vacancy was taken up by a pupil with a score of 245 during S1 Posting Exercise.
But it doesn't mean that this year's COP would also be 245. It could be 246, 244 etc.
We can use 2009 COP as a guide but it is not this year's COP.

As far as I know, 'this year's S1 cohort' means those in S1 this yr (2010). Is there another meaning? :?

My fault this time. Sorry. :imsorry:

But I think the starter of the topic seems to want to know the COP for 2010.

                :?

Both my friends, sons scoring : 248 & 250 are applying for VS.

As VS is going IP next year, think there will be more people applying whom might have higher T-score.

As far as I know, VS COP has always been around 245, plus or minus 1 or 2 points. I would say put it down as 1st choice and try to appeal later. According to DS3, quite a handful left the school throughout the year for various reasons. 2 from his cohort were transferred out at the end of the year due to their poor performance and according to the principal, this is the first time it happen in the school's history. ๐Ÿ˜ž Even if you made it to the school, make sure you work hard. :celebrate:

My advice is that if you want your child to be less stress during the secondary school life, do look at the mean & median T-score of the secorndary school.

If the childโ€™s T-score is somewhat around there, most of the time you can see that the childโ€™s year end result is somewhere above the cohort.

If you look at the lower T-score and enter to the school, there will be so many people above him/her, the morale will be affected if the end result is always at the bottom.
