Yes, totally agree with you :D
dd received too...but same, can't claim....
Agree fully. I wonder is there a way of contributing to students who really would appreciate receiving more of the bursary to help them in their studies by giving my share, since many of us couldn't claim them. I am sure MOE has catered enough $$ to award these students. Just inform me that she's top 25% is good enough already. I find it so weird to receive it and yet we can't do anything about the so-called \"entitlement\".E3:

Huh, got income cap? But then I think that the money is secondary mah. It's the achievement & confirmation that you parents are on the right track. -

Hi Mummies,
I just went to PH to collect books for my son...for parents who have ordered and paid online, pls look out for the inner queue (near the school bookstore). The queue in front of the Science lab is for parents who didn't pre-order...but be prepared to queue.
Stock just arrived for P4 Chinese story books (Xi You Ji) and P5 Chinese story book (shui hu zhuan). Heard there is no stock for P5 Chinese textbook 5B and the workbook as well. -

dd received too...but same, can't claim....
Based on our sampling here, seems that very, very few households will be able to claim this bursary award despite qualifying for it academically. I wonder whether anyone in MOE HQ is compiling the statistics which says something like only x% (x must be a single digit number) of households can claim the award due to the ultra low $4000 income cap per household.Happy Mama:

Yes, totally agree with you
To personify MOE, he will look like an eccentric, grounchy old man whose loaded but refuses to part willingly with his dough  -

So this bursary should qualify more than half of the population if we use the 80-20 Pareto principle? -

Yes, it really was an early Christmas present :celebrate: . Am keeping the letter though cant apply.
Congrats Jen. Looks like both your ds are doing well under your guidance. If next time my ds is able to get bursary of any kind of any amt, I'll be so jumping for joy that I will be able to perform cartwheel somersaults the whole day, haha  .Jennifer:
We recd the letter for applying the MOE Edusave Merit Bursary Award. I checked the MOE website on this Edusave http://www.moe.gov.sg/initiatives/edusave/funds-grants-awards/#bursary
It is meant for pupils who are \"within the top 25% of each level and stream in his school\".
So can I think my P3 boy can get into the 2nd top class??? The P3 cohort size is around 360 pupils. -
