Collected dd's stuff. Nobody at all. The EL Yellow File is in. Pre-packed for those online orders. Only the school handbook is out of stock. Forgot to cancel. :clubmyself:

Eh, yellow file is in? Oh I better drop by school tomorrow to get it for my DD. Thanks for informing, E3. :thankyou:

Sorry. I meant the yellow file is in my order package, could already been Pre-packed for online orders. You might want to call up the bookshop to check before popping by.
Oh I see... Ok will call first. Anyway, if the stock is still not in, I will ask DD to get it herself from the bookshop when school reopens... 😉

He is very happy to get a trophy displayed in his room. Hope this acts as a motivating force for him to keep improving on his own without me nagging at him.

He has a trophy? YN didn't get any trophy. Just a bear and Popular voucher. The bear now belongs to his sister. 😉

Congrats to YN. Is little YX a chilli padi? Hm, her birthday coming soon or over already?

I wrote an email to the FT to request her to sms me in case the class placement result is released next week. She replied that a letter will be sent out to notify the results.

          Anyone hear otherwise?
Based on our sampling here, seems that very, very few households will be able to claim this bursary award despite qualifying for it academically. I wonder whether anyone in MOE HQ is compiling the statistics which says something like only x% (x must be a single digit number) of households can claim the award due to the ultra low $4000 income cap per household.

Not sure whether anyone of you read the letters one of Today's readers wrote on this bursary. According to him, the income cap only came into effect this year. He urged MOE to do away with the income cap as the bursary was the reason why his child strived to perform well.

To me, it's plain  . It's bursary, not scholarship. 😛

That's not true. My dd received it last year too with the same income cap.
Yup. Always can see cannot 'eat'. 😉 Not started this year, for sure.

Hubby ordered books and paid online…when we checked the books, found school handbook ‘missing’ in the box. So he approached the Pacific person-in-charge…she issued him a credit note. Parents who have pre-ordered and made payment via credit card, pls check all the items properly and get the staff to issue you a credit note if any item is missing.

No problem...hope you manage to get most of the text/workbooks from Popular. What you will need to get from school vendor would be exercise books, subject files, CL story book (Shui Hu Zhuan) & EL P5 Listening Comprehension.

If your books and assessment books can add up to $100, you stand to benefit.

                      Hi Mrsbongz,
Not many activities going on here, with the kids at home. However, sorry I'm not of help bcos my son missed the year where the principal requires name to be sewn on uniform.

I don't quite understand what you meant, Mrs Bongz? Here's where you are supposed to sew the name tag. Hope it helps.
