Are the admin staff working during the sch holidays? trying to call them to make enquiries on uniform, name tags and all that for my girl next year but none pick up the phone.


Are we supposed to order the name tags using the form from sch website?

I will try to get the uniform from Bras basah complex but no one pick up the phone as well.

Can anyone advise how to go abt settling the stuffs as my girl is starting a new sch next year?

how do we know what hse colour PE attire to buy? buy after re-open?

It is from 2 to 5pm on thursday and friday.

some pupils take public bus go home no problem one.

Or can talk to teacher, maybe can be excused, but not good to the whole orchestra loh.

we stay in tampines, is quite a long journey back. My girl wants to continue her chinese orchestra as CCA in the new sch, I only have Rosyth, Tao Nan and Nanyang to choose from, out of the 3, she prefers Nanyang Pri after taking a look at the sch building. Moreover, she heard that Rosyth and Tao Nan are relocating in the near future, so she is quite firm with her choice of sch. We decided to give in to her after much consideration. NYPS has 4 classes of gep, I think MOE respects the students’ choice. Usually you will get your first choice if there is vacancy.

My girl is in the best class but not one of the top students this yr. She is just fast in grasping concepts, loves reading, likes to play various musical instruments etc…I am sure she will enjoy the gep programme as she likes challenging stuffs. she is definitely not the hardworking type.

The form clearly states to mail in your order and check, so I suppose that's what you should be doing?

btw, i had gone down to Bras basah complex today to buy the uniform and PE shorts. ordered the PE t-shirts since they dun have the right size for my girl.

I hv also rec’d a letter from the sch to send my girl for orientation on 30 Dec. will settle the transport plus booklist after my holiday trip departing today at mid-night.

Allamanda said she had received a letter from the school orientation on 30 Dec, I thought nanyang orientation day was on 20 Nov?

Is that a second orientation? I have no idea about this…

20 Nov was orientation for incoming P1 students.


allamanda’s girl is joining the GEP class. Maybe the Dec 30 orientation is for these new students?

We are living 1-2km from NYPS. I hope to enrol my kid to NYPS. But I am only an ordinary Singapore citizen without any connection. Given we are NOT living <1km, any point to apply for PV? I heard the chance is not high for 2B (after 80 hours PV worl) but 1-2km. We cannot afford to move to a hse <1km from NYPS.


Shoud I persue or give up? Any advice is appreciated.

NYPS will ballot within 1km for P2C so i think you can gv up or move in nearer.

How do they select PV? If I am willing to do PV works for 80 hrs, is it worth trying?
