duriz, you must be a Hokkien! šŸ˜‰

      No lah.

The last time I said \"hong sim\", Mummy Blobbi also called me Hokkien.

I'm Cantonese. But have many many Hokkien friends šŸ˜„

Oh, so you got mistaken for a Hokkien again, but don't blame us, both \"hong sim\" and pineapples are associated with the Hokkiens. I am not Hokkien by the way.

I think most in Singapore can speak some (form) of Hokkien.

What is your dialect group, Maid?

ok, i think i am quite mean but i just couldnt help but shake my head in amusement every time i think of it.

i was boxed in by 2 cars yesterday after dropping ds off at school so have no choice but to sit in the car and wait for the damn bloody parents.

while waiting, a jeep came and tried to squeeze into a tiny lot between 2 cars (A & B). bang, jeep hit the front of car B, you can hear the screeching sound of the metal of both cars when jeep tried to reverse out of the lot. the driver of the jeep just drove away without bothering to check the damange.

shortly another car came and by this time, car A has already driven off and so plenty of space right? but when it reversed, i have no idea what the heck the driver was thinking, it reversed right into the front of car B. bang, bang. like the jeep driver, this driver got out, took a look and got her kids to school and drove off.

i was like "huh, like that also can", "what luck to be hit by 2 cars within 10 minutes".

all 3 drivers are mums and though i know car B mum, she is not one i would like to have a conversation with.

i was still boxed in after half hour and car B mum came and with no cars in front of hers, i thought she might notice the damage but she just got into her car and drove off. :!: she doesnt care or what??? so no need for me to be a witness???

when i picked ds up from school in the pm, i saw her car and went to take a look and goodness me, after 2 hits by cars, there was no damage to it. :!:

now am seriously thinking of buying her car.

Ha ha ha... so funny even my toes are laughing!!!

Please share the make of her car... hubby and I are always having minor dents in our cars, especially at the sides.

Thanks 25hourmaid for starting this thread and all who contributed, had a good laugh ... it's been a stressful and busy few weeks, so I really needed a good laugh. :thankyou:

I am sure most of us would have, at one time or another, encountered a funny incident or two from strangers that would put a smile on our face. Let's share them here.

I was at the newly opened 24-hour NTUC @ NEX with my husband last night and we were at the Pet Food Section.

A staff member was putting back a packet of cat food that had been misplaced, but he didn't realise that he was not alone at that section.

As he looked high and low for the correct shelf to put back that packet of cat food, he was making \"meow, meow, meow\" sounds like as if making the \"meow, meow, meow\" sounds would lead him to the correct shelf!

Think he was probably tired after a day's work and was trying to make some light moments for himself. šŸ˜‰

Maybe he was looking for a runaway kitten :?
