So disappointing that the Hanyupin Class is not going to be held since the particpation rate is very low.
Does anyone has a good recommendation for such a holiday intensive course for hanyupinyin? -
My daughter told me that everyone’s been dispersed to different classes next year and she’ll be in class 2 Peace. Wonder how the school go about doing the internal streaming…

Hi Mummy,
I am planning to send my gals to this school next year, any one has feedback regarding this new principal? as well as the teachers there?
I understand the principal is very new to the school…so i wonder if the same teaching style and school morale will be same as before.
Thanks!! -

hi reenie,
so far,i havent gotten all my questions answered here, but i will update you as soon as i can comment on the principal.as for the teachers, they are good and caring and the principal did mention she is going to step up on their english language.btw, she is the former Holy innocent pri's principal...my opinion,it is still a good sch...

Ms Chew is former principle of St Anthony… a very good school. She is there for the past 8 years. My opinion she is good for St Anthony’s past records…

Hi, I'm a P6 student graduating from CHIJ OLN. ^^
As for the pocket money, don't give too much. If your DD wants to buy a bottled drink-$1 and for packet drink-40 cents but I suggest you don't let your daughter buy soft drinks as it is very addicting as I see my friends drinking it everyday. For me, I just drink plain water and you can refill it whenever you want at the water cooler but unfortunately, it is icy cold water so you would have to wait awhile before drinking it. Most p1/p2 students buy stickers from the book shop, etc. winx club, high school musical so it's best if you keep an eye on your child and make sure she does not spend too much on these 'unnecessary items'. Principal is quite good and vice-principal is very familiar with our school as her daughter just graduated from our school last year. (She even gave us P6s a motivation talk when PSLE was coming to cope with stress, work hard etc.) As for teachers, it depends on your luck. I heard from other students that their teacher would just sit down, ask them to do their work and talk to her boyfriend on her handphone- really unacceptable. And she even told them to write the date as March instead of June as she did not let them do the worksheets when she was supposed to and told them to write another date as the principal was to check their worksheets. I actually had that teacher a few years back but nothing like that happened but she was quite bias, she only liked those smart and chatty kind so some of my friends would get black face from her. There was also 2 cases where I was wrongly accused by my teachers and they did not believe me though I was telling the truth. As for CCAs, not very good but there are quite a few to choose from and our chinese dance got a gold this year. Academically, not that well but still good. Highest for PSLE (our school) was 265, followed by 264, 263, 262 etc. 1 of my classmate got into NUS, another got into Nanyang Girls (both thru DSA). I think they focus more on character more than academics. Haiz....Will really miss CHIJ OLN...alot. It is very rewarding (for me) being in this school and if I could choose my primary school, I would still choose CHIJ OLN
Hope your DDs will enjoy their 6 years in this school as much as I did ^^ -
