Hi, does the class posting apply to P1 as well? I thought they have already been assigned the classes during the P1 orientation. Thanks. Sorry for being so blur, new to thread. DS will be in P1 next year.

Hi panda8064, welcome to the thread. Is your ds's class name tagged with Integrity? That should be the school value assigned to P1 classes.

Thanks to all of you for your replies. My Ds class is not tagged with Integrity. The name tag that he was given during P1 orientation (to be worn next year) states the class name, but its not Integrity.

Just wondering, how about P5 ? Esp since there are some still taking HCL and others taking Normal Chinese. Will those taking Normal Chinese be in one class ?

This is meant for P2 onwards. Previously .... for many years, PH stream all students based on the total score- from the first to the last. Now they are considering to mix it a bit so that it is not too competitive and pressuring for the kids.

I just have a thought .. next year onwards, people will not know which classes is which level unless there are from PH. The only school in Singapore which primary level are replaced by school values name.
          I only know Respect is for P2 ..... 😉

My last understanding was no S-banding for top classes, as there were some disagreement from parents during upper Pri dialogue session. It will still be top 40, then next 80, and so on for the top 3 or 4 classes. Remaining students will be S-banded.

Hi E3, I thought it was top 80 and next 80, followed by the remaining classes?[/quote]That was what was discussed during the P2 parents dialogue session but it was not confirmed until P met up with parents of other levels as well. The last I heard, the upper primary parents were not in favour of the S-banding for top classes. Unless you've confirmation with Form-teachers or school, the S-banding will not be carried out for the top classes. I can find out by checking with my dd's classmates whether most of them will end up in the same class next year. If so, then, there is no S-banding.

According to P2 dialogue session, no change for way of banding Math and CL. The only change should be the class names.

Hi, anyone need small size PHPPS socks, S size? Too small for my girl. Went back to change but they do not allow exchange of size for socks. I am letting go at slightly cheaper price of $9.00 (original price is $10), inclusive of postage. Anyone? Please e-mail me at [email protected]

Just collected the letter. There is also a summary info on overall results- the child’s score and percentile (given in a range) against the cohort, each subj highest, lowest, avg and median score.

So no indication of level position but let us know the range of percentile.

                  P4 class name is TEAMWORK

Any idea how many classes does P4 have in 2011?

There 2 other types of Edusave award - Scholarship award (meant for top 5% and next 10%) and Good Progress Award. These no need to apply or income cap.

If I remembered correctly, these two types are only meant for P5 and P6. Never mind, continue to work hard, everyone! :celebrate:

We recd the CDC & CCC Good Progress Award :celebrate:

I checked MOE http://www.moe.gov.sg/initiatives/edusave/funds-grants-awards/#good-progress applicable from P2 onwards.

Should be 9. The letter did not state the level position at all. :?
