      Jennifer:

There 2 other types of Edusave award - Scholarship award (meant for top 5% and next 10%) and Good Progress Award. These no need to apply or income cap.

If I remembered correctly, these two types are only meant for P5 and P6. Never mind, continue to work hard, everyone! :celebrate:

We recd the CDC & CCC Good Progress Award :celebrate:

I checked MOE http://www.moe.gov.sg/initiatives/edusave/funds-grants-awards/#good-progress applicable from P2 onwards.

        Jennifer:
Just collected the letter. There is also a summary info on overall results- the child's score and percentile (given in a range) against the cohort, each subj highest, lowest, avg and median score.

So no indication of level position but let us know the range of percentile.

        P4 class name is TEAMWORK

Any idea how many classes does P4 have in 2011?
Should be 9. The letter did not state the level position at all. :?

I believe the printing of level position is a thing of the past from this year onwards. I am disappointed to be given a percentile range that is so wide apart (20% difference). For eg, my boy's CL is in 21% to 40%, so I shld be very worried or not?

I know what you mean. It makes alot of diff whether his score is top of the range or bottom. So wide!

The website states only if the child does not quality for the scholarship or bursary award, then they can be awarded with Good Progress, so I assume my dd will not get anything. I wonder how it's generated? Although my dd did well, but I doubt she's going to get it, cos her overall score dropped by 1 mark compared to last year.

I haven't checked my mail yet. Hehe...

This year has 10 classes. The previous two years 9 classes.

This year P3 has 40 in each class and a total of 9, right? Hence, I presume that the cohort should be divided into same no. of classes next year.

😢 My child has been calling her classmates. None of them in the same class next year! 😢

My last understanding was no S-banding for top classes, as there were some disagreement from parents during upper Pri dialogue session. It will still be top 40, then next 80, and so on for the top 3 or 4 classes. Remaining students will be S-banded.

I thought P1 to P2 is follow through. Looks like it might not be the case.
I just received the mail, my dd class doesn't looks like follow through, so I guess you are right. They streaming the 1st few classes and S-band the rest, but the percentile for P1 are all pretty close. :?
