Should be 9. The letter did not state the level position at all. :?

This year has 10 classes. The previous two years 9 classes.

You mean this year P4 has 10 classes? Could be dragon year more intake? This year P3 has 40 in each class and a total of 9, right? Hence, I presume that the cohort should be divided into same no. of classes next year.

😢 My child has been calling her classmates. None of them in the same class next year! 😢
Oh ya, rightfully the no. of classes shld be same as this year P3 going to P4.
Any idea how many classes does P4 have in 2011?

Should be 10 classes also right, like this year's P4? Every class should still have about 40 kids, maybe lesser at the 'weaker end' classes. Furthermore, less transfers for P4 to P5 already.

If I am not wrong, if those transfered out did not pay to keep their place in PH, the slots will be given to those on the waiting list to transfer in. The overall no. should remains.

My last understanding was no S-banding for top classes, as there were some disagreement from parents during upper Pri dialogue session. It will still be top 40, then next 80, and so on for the top 3 or 4 classes. Remaining students will be S-banded.

I thought P1 to P2 is follow through. Looks like it might not be the case.
I just received the mail, my dd class doesn't looks like follow through, so I guess you are right. They streaming the 1st few classes and S-band the rest, but the percentile for P1 are all pretty close. :?

may i know which class your dd goes to?

From what I have gathered, the top class for both P3 and P4 will be the class with the last number for that respective level. Apparently, not likewise for P2 class allocation. :?

Yup that's right. For Pri 3, Responsibility 9 is the top class followed by 8 and so on.
