Thanks hquek. I went to the Book Fest today. 笑猫日记 series of books are going for $4.50 per book while the 淘气包马小跳 series of books are going for 20% for 1 book or 30% for more than 3 books which works out to be S$4.375 per book. Still ok and just slightly more expensive than when we buy from Dangdang. I bought some for my DS to try out. Very happy I don't have to wait for the 7-8 weeks delivery from Dangdang.
it's 30% off for most chinese books. I don't think it's still $4 per book becos there was a handwritten sign that this is a booksigning special.ksme:
Are her books still going at $4 for the rest of the Bookfest period?

Good for you! $0.30 extra a book is ok lah - I would still have bought it at that price.

Aniwaes, I still think the prices are very good becos 1. we dun have to lug it from china; 2. we dun incur the dangdang transport charge (not to mention the mental agony of waiting for it to arrive - I keep wondering if some post office makan my books). :celebrate: -
wow, your daudgters and sons are really really blessed. you all are really buying many books. I only spend for couple of good assesments books. as I am a sahm I really think before buy these books. always depends on the library. wait in the Que. or look for garage sale/ bras b complex for 2nd hand books…
kudos to you all. thats good. make them read and boost their word power! -

Library is a good resource - I really love the Singapore NLB for carrying so many good books. Although I use the library a lot, yet I would still buy some titles, eg classics, stuff that library don't carry, or chinese books (simply cos I dunno how to find what I want). And if you know where or how to get, it's easy to get cheap stuff (not at listed prices, nor bookstore retail prices). If I could only buy at SG retail prices, I don't think I will be so crazy.wow, your daudgters and sons are really really blessed. you all are really buying many books. Bookfest already over as of yesterday, isn't it?
A bit sad that they only give 1 $10 voucher for min $100 spend per cardmember - I originally thought it's a per day, or per purchase thing. NO, they will track the card and only issue one voucher for the whole thing.[/quote]Hey, think they are going to give away $10 voucher for min $100 spend again on 17 and 18 Dec. The SMS I got says it is Back by Popular demand. You can go check it out again this weekend.

Hi, it is at the Chinese section close to the big globe in centre. Hope you find it. Ask the popular folks around, they may be able to help you too. Good luck.Hello ksme and hquek,
