      Dear kiasu parents,

Am checking this on behalf of a friend.

Could anyone recommend a good pre-school in Siglap area for half -day?

Holy Grace and Chiltern house and NAFA Kindergarten are full!

      All inputs are appreciated.

Hi, my kids are now at Gracefield kindergarten (at Koon Seng Road). They have been there since March this year and doing well so far. Only 10 kids maximum per class and affordable fees. Seen alot of improvement from my kids too. Their program prepares them well for P1.

      Hi,

How much are the fees are gracefields?

Hi, You may want to consider St Hilda’s Kindergarten. They’ve good curriculm. Fee is afforable too about S$481.50 per term (3 months). They’ve computer lesson also (which is optional) at $110 per term. But St Hilda’s Kindergarten is not afflicated to St Hilda’s Primary School. It’s near Katong area. By School bus is about $70 per mth (depend on the journey).

That's interesting... that's when my girl will be starting too! The N1 class. Guess they'll be friends there.

                  hihi

i guess she will be in your girl's class after sept... i was informed that my girl can only attend the toddlers class...and be 'promoted' to n1 after sept...

then your girl can probably show her the ropes 🙂

Don’t be fooled by kinderland academy’s on the whole curriculum or safe caring environment as the principal claims. Visited during lunch and was shocked at the food being served to the children there. Plain rice, almost water clear soup and sausages in some kind of tomato sause. When i looked at the menu, they were supposed to be serving claypot rice on that day.

While checking around with other freinds who used to have kids in kinderland, they commented that they have a high withdrawal rate due to the menu. Food is not healthy and the school is stingy with the portions given to kids.

Also, the teacher put a nice sweet front infront of parents. But behind closed doors there is alot of shouting and even the teacher tease the children( got this info from the kitchen aunt who used to work there). The principal is also ver pretentious and i can tell frm the way she suddenly shows attention to the kids infront of us parents. Kind of sick actually.

I won’t pay so much to put my child in a so called "branded" school when such things are going on behind closed doors.

It's my wife who's doing the initiation :), not me. I think my girl needs to get back into the rythm of playing in a group again - she's been out for almost a month. She says she had fun.

BTW... there's no nursery classes in Schoolhouse. So I guess your daughter and mine are indeed in the same toddler class. That almost makes us family 🙂 🙂
