Just called the school to check on my ds class. The clerk mentioned, so many ppl did not receive the letter...


May I know what is written in the letter beside stating the class? They will not send another letter to us.

Even when you go down personally to collect?

It's easier to check characters when student needs to write compo...also one of the models is allowed to be brought into the exam hall (PSLE).

For me, I need to be firm with my kids and will not tolerate rudeness, telling lies and talking back...breaking any of that will guarantee a good spanking.

Hi, from what I understand, such policy of asking v weak students to leave the sch was of past practice in popular schs. Don't think MOE allow such matter to happen these days as many agree that some kids develop at a later stage and is not fair to ask them to leave.....

That's good to hear. My old buddy's dd was actually asked to transfer out of a certain popular school 6 yrs ago. And it happened in term 1 of P1 :shock: . So this new MOE guideline must have been implemented less than 6 yrs ago.

For some reason I encourage it when ds talks back (argues his pts) to me, much to dw's dismay. We must keep our politeness to each other at all times of course. I want to encourage him to have this trait of forming his own opinions and be able to think for himself, rather than follow blindly everything that I say.

In many ways, I'm possessed a follow-the-herd, safety-first mentality and I wish that ds is anything but that.
