Did you email to dangdang to ask them to refund you ? I don't think they refund you automatically.
Since they really can take a long time to verify my payment, I guess it's only common for them to take longer to refund. But so far, I've never had to call them up to query. -
Happy to report that my 2nd order arrived safely. Both orders took 8 weeks from point of ordering to me physically receiving the goods. And in both cases, the audit actually went quite fast, it was the waiting for goods to arrive that took the longest time.

Just to check, after receiving the books, do you need to update your account to reflect receipt of books?

I had ordered the spree from SMH and it’s only 20% shipping cost of the dang dang price. -
Please take note of the risk of joining sprees in SMH. There have been many cases of spree organizers collecting money then disappear without a trace. The administrators have no control over organizers in that forum.

I think I’m lucky that the one I join is not a cheater. By the way, did you encounter before. Is there a list of bad organiser where I can check before joining the spree?

Yes there is. You can search in the spree section. But note that many people who got cheated are too scared to say anything, an organizer who cheated may still be organizing sprees.
The problem is that you send money to a stranger that you have not met before, and you don't know where she lives. It is much more risky than ordering from a reputable website. -

I've joined a couple of sprees. I'm not advocating joining spree but just sharing how I choose. I only join the spree if:
I can't get the item via the website. Sometimes there is only local delivery. I can only imagine that the organizer has a contact in that area to arrange delivery. The money saved must be worth it of course.
If the organizer has previous spree and repeat visit from same customer.
The amt for the spree is not too much.
OF course there's always an amount of risk involved -
