      Hi Blackvelvet,

Thanks for answering. 🙂 What about your P5 boy, how much does he get for pocket money? My son has been telling his little brother that he will buy two biscuits to bring home to share with him. hehee.. dunno whether to get angry or be happy.

Woah! Congrats St Gab boys! That's very good score and an improvement at that! Good job to all.. students, teachers and not forgeting parents.

Gosh... talking abt their good grades, I can feel the pressure building for me already. 😛

        Hi eetsc

My P5 boy got about $1.50 a day for recess, and if he has CCA, it’s $3 for that day…

Very thoughtful of your son — to think of buying biscuits for his younger brother. My elder boy used to buy titbits, biscuits and little things from the school bookshop for his younger brother when he was in K2, and you can see his face really brightened up.

          Hi, experienced parents

I have a question on the name tag. How do you attach the name tag onto the uniform? The uniform shop says we can iron it on and sew at the 4 corners. Problem is, I'm zero at sewing

Is it easy to do as what the shop says? Or is it better to bring it to the professionals? The school uniform shop says it doesn't do such jobs

Are the name tags just for the uniforms, or should they also be attached to the PE T-shirt?

          Thanks!

            Hi zeedoo

Ironing & sewing the nametags would secure the nametags to the uniform.

I ironed the name tag unto the uniform and the t-shirt, and then once it’s secured, I’ll sew along the blue edges. I’m lousy at sewing as well, but I found it easy to do.

                  Hi genki2

There is a school bus covering Bishan. You may call the bus contractor, Xing Sheng Transport Svcs at 64814013 or 64814529

Sorry, can’t help on your other questions, as my son is only at P1. There are 5 classes at P1, but I believe there are more classes at the higher levels

                  Good luck!

                      You’re welcome!

I’m staying at Marymount, not exactly Bishan. I know that there are quite a number of parents staying at Bishan though

So far, my son has adapted surprisingly well at the school. "Surprising" bcoz he’s usually slow to warm up to a new environment. I guess it has to do with how the classes are conducted. The principal said that they always try to cater to boys’ competitive nature so as to keep them engaged. For instance, the class is divided into groups which compete on gaining points based on behaviour, etc. Except for the part of waking up early, my son is enjoying school…seemingly more so than in kindy!

                      Good luck to you!

hi there, im considering getting my son into St Gabs next year (2012)

my husband was an old boy there and we stay within walking distance there..

can anyone give me feedback on this school please!!? im concerned abt the discipline there and whether the boys are well-behaved 🙂 coz my boy is rather easily influenced 🙂

                        much appreciated! thanks!!
