      Hi Brenda10,

I don't take a look at P6 Science books...so not quite sure what will be taught...but I suppose CA1 for P5 should be some topics under 'Systems'. Human Respiratory, Human Circulatory system and Cells are not easy.

At P6, the teachers would have to rush through Interaction and Energy in the 1st half of the year, in time for revision.

I think I can expect more white hair to grow from next year onwards 😒 😒
Janet, the topic coverage sequence is dependent on individual school. That is why if you send your kid to Science tuition, what the tuition centre covers may not be in the same order as your kid's school. School is given the flexibility to decide the order of topics covered. Don't worry too much, check with the Science teacher when school open or check with your DS what the teacher is covering when term has started.

I would be able to breathe easier if son's school is teaching 2 topics this year. Every school is given the flexibility of teaching diff topics...forgot that πŸ˜› Thanks.

            Hi Janet

DD teacher (same with P5 next year) wanted them to complete the 1st chapter of the Science topics and so happen dd never clarify with teacher which is the one and no choice has to touch on both of the books.

You’re re right next year the teacher will be rushing through all the topics like F1 racing. So we are also touching some new topics of Maths like circle, speed etc

Ok, so your daughter will be in P6 next year. I think all the schools will be packing in full schedule for the students. A friend whose daughter is in Bukit Timah Pri told me her daughter goes to school early in the morning until 6pm almost everyday. So poor thing, 12 hours everyday.
All the best for next year.

All topics will be covered by mid year latest in time for PSLE. There should be more than enough practice for the kids.

Janet, if you worry so early, I can understand why you need hair dye πŸ˜‰ Relax, the kids will cope fine..... (ya, I keep telling myself that to keep my sanity!!!)

                  Hi Pen88n,

I don't believe in hair dye actually...a little off topic now.
But I had a patch of baldness earlier and I got panicky...applied hair loss oil and used shampoo to control the oily scalp. Fortunately the hair grew back but they were WHITE.

In the meantime, I think I'll take it easy for the next 1 week.
Hey, Merry Christmas and all the best in 2011. :celebrate:
