I'm really glad to see that BTPS sent letter informing us the activities on orientation day and what's going to happen for the 1st week of school too! Eg, P5 buddy will be helping the P1s to ease into BTPS and what are the items to bring each day for first week!
So far, I feel very good about BTPS! :imcool: -
My DS is in Integrity.. He is all excited about going P1.
Attended the orientation on Monday. The school environment is good.. The kids are helpful and polite. Have a positive vibe about the place.

Yup, my son quickly made 3-4 friends in his class P1 Resilience already.
I like the fact that the students are given many opportunities in BTPS - e.g. the boys who were doing AVA, the P1-3s who had the chance to perform by playing in the junior band sang and danced...
My hubby asked a lot of questions when we met his form teacher who is a most patient lady. I think my boy is in good hands.
Only gripe is that the hall and classrooms are hot.... maybe we are too pampered  -
huaywenandkenneth ,
Yr DS is so socialable. It is a good sign. My DS didn't make any friends. When i asked him if he look fw to his new school. He replied that he is not because he is not seeing any familiar faces.
Agree that the classroom HOT!
Hope DS can get used to it. His kindy is fully-air-con.

I asked DS what he would like to bring after readlng the listI'm really glad to see that BTPS sent letter informing us the activities on orientation day and what's going to happen for the 1st week of school too! MY DS insists that he wantes to bring his hard cover Origami book for show and tell. Despite the fact that it is as heavy as a dictionary.
I also feel that the list is gppd so we can have an idea what is the programme for the 1st 2 wks. -
I nearly forgot about the lists until I went through DS books yesterday trying to write names on them and wrap them up. He had a whale of a time cutting the wrapping plastics and scotch tape.
Basically DS is just talkative and active... but he does make friends very easily. Now to hope that he doesn't chat and chat in class.... he had another 2 friends from the same kindy attending BTPS but they are not in his same class.
Anyone knows which are the items that are \"out of stock\" from the school bookshop? DH lost the booklist (*sigh*) when he went to get some more books after orientation day, and I think we are still missing 2-3 items.... -

Hi, I’m transferring my DD to another school which is closer to my place. However, I’ve already purchased her BTPS school uniform. Is there anyone who would like extra sets? All items are brand new, have not been laundered. Thinking of selling at half price.
I have the following items:
2 blouses - size 28
2 skirts - size 23
1 set of PE attire - size 28
2 pairs of socks - size M
Can pm me if interested. -

I heard from my ex-colleague that BTPS is a very good sch. His 2 dds are currently studying there. As a matter of fact, recently heard that BTPS produces lots of GEP students every year.
It is a very decent school, nice neighbourhood. My 3 boys started there in P1 n 2 transferred out cos of GEP. 2 of their cousins too. N a few of my friends' kids too. N none of our kids was coached for GEP or had any tuition except for some Chinese tuition. You don't get the kind of resources like in the more popular schools but it's really not bad at all. My son who didn't get into GEP managed a DSA into a premier boy's school through academics n my kids didn't have any tuition except for Chinese at some point so I think your kids are in pretty good hands.mintee:
Just curious, who actually choose BTPS as first choice? :?
NYPS was my first choice, however was balloted out at 2C.
Nevertheless, DS is still excited about BTPS because there is no need to tuck in the school shirt.
