Appeal Secondary One Posting
-
Hi my friend reported with her DD today to the school but feels that it’s very far. Can she still appeal to another school tomorrow? The school she’s appealing to is the 4th choice while the one she’s posted to is 3rd.
Please help. -

Have anyone received reply from RI on their appeal?
If so, what is your score?
TIA -

The appeal results will take average one week. The schools are still processing them now and I believe it is still ok to appeal.

My child has 250+2 with 2A and 2A*. She's planning to appeal to NJC. Does she really need to put NJC as first choice, she missed last yr's COP by 7 points. Icalled NJC, ,they only have 190 places left Anyone understand how the system works?
I assume students are all placed in a straight line starting from the top student first choice school.
Am i right to say, all will be given first choice school first if they meet the COP. Then all the remaining student who missed by first choice will be lined in straight line again to check if their second choice school still have vacancy?
REALLY NEEDED ADVICE AS SHE HAS DONE S1 OPTION. Understand still have chance to alter. She has placed
1. RVH
2. NJC
3 St Nick
some of my classmates are appeal students but they only missed nj's cut-off point by 2-3 marks -
2 to 3 points short of the cut off point is quite a lot

it's never easy living under the shadows of really bright siblings. but remember to be grateful at all times. there are many people who are worse off than you.
Do they have secondary GEP? Actually, I am a RGPS girl and NJC is right beside my old school.Deseived:

Do you wish to consider NJC? their COP is only one point away from yours and you may stand a better chance. Your parents can also drop you off since NJC is just opposite of HCI?
BTW, your result is very good. I am sure many parents out here also wish that their kids can get the same score as yours.
However, I don't think my parents would like it. (Gosh, they only like RGS and NYGH! :x )
I guess it's because my brothers scored really well for their PSLE so my parents have high expectations of me. Thanks for the suggestion!
if you are thinking of girls sch in the bt timah area, you can consider SCGS or MGS. MGS has a Sophia Blackmore class for the really bright ones. with your COP, you can easily appeal to transfer there.[/quote]I'm from RGPS too... now currently in nj. speaking of which, i had a hard time adjusting to co-ed school even though i was in one for four years before i transferred to RGPS. In my opinion i think it is still possible for you to get into rgs because you are a GEP student.
and speaking about bright siblings... one of my friends are part of a triplet who go to nj, hci and ri -

that's true but i'm part of the pioneer batch and currently there are only 144 students in my level. it's going to increase next year though -
