Hi GSK, my DD don't have to attend PSF after LiftOff next year, but problem is LiftOff will be over only in end April 2011, by then it'll be too late for her to catch up with the P1 syllabus. The centre manager simply don't understand my concern and she didn't hear of that demanding school that my DD is going to...sigh...she left after that too...worked for about 2 mths nia...

Thanks for consoling me... I've found another school already 🙂 Hopefully I don't need to change anymore. Don't really believe in the ang mo anymore...

Hi GSK, u're welcome. My DD is going P1 next year, not K2... so that's why I feel it's too late to start PFS i April / May which is during SA1. your DS is going K2 next year, right?
      [quote]Hi Gaagaa

Thanks for your advise. Yes, you are right, teachers play an important role and getting a good teacher that suits your child is another luck. Next year is an important year, we have been switching from one school to another, hoping I won't change another school.

Just my opinion, I find tat is not too late to start PFS in April / May after completing the Liftoff.

Wish us all the best to have a suitable classes for your DD and my DS.

      Thanks, gsk.

      Hi Gaagaa
Oh I see, no wonder u r so worried. Yes, mine is K2 next year. But just my curiosity, does yr DD still need to attend the PFS after Liftoff since she is P1 next year, can't she go direct to Success 1 after Liftoff?

Dun worry lah, can see that your DD is quite independent and hardworking. Unlike mine, must \"force\" him to read, he reads 2 or 4 pages and not 1 chapter loh, see how slow progress he is, so your DD is very good liao.

Anyway, try to source for another one. There's sure has another good school.

      Regards

        Regards

          Hi

Can any one feedback to me regarding the fasttrack lift off?

Is there a policy that only child who attend 6 mth of pri 1 then can attend fasttrack lift off? shuoldnt it based on the child capability?

my child is k2 next year. He can read, write, do comprehension, close passage, grammer already but the instructor want him to attend regular liftoff due to company policy.

Why like this ? Can any one enlighten me?

I believe the fasttrack lift off you mentioned is the PFS (Prepare For School). If yes, then is meant for Pre-schooler. PFS programme are mainly for most of the children who have completed the Lift off programme.

Does your child know phonics? Maybe tat's the reason.
